Amazing work on the cockpit!
What are your plans for chipping? I have had good results with Vallejo Chipping Medium applied with an airbrush and reactivated with water. But that would have to be applied before the Color.

Today I start my vacay, chipping and washing is my next point, my chipping I‘ll do wirh a sponge and brush.
The second Point is to finish my base, I‘ll put the Model under a acrylic hood.

I figured out the stand could be a part of the death star surface, some primer is missing

Thx Chrisisall, it was a normal Kit more a toy as a Kit but the scale with 1:29 was interesting for me. The next Parts are Weathering and Base.

back from vacation

this week I will start with the base and the weathering of the Xwing
The base and Acrylframe will have the dimension of my board 60x40 cm and 40cm high, the question is should I use a power supply or a battery not sure what will fit better in the height of the Base plate but I always a fan of reducing my cables and Sockets around any model.
Maybe I try to use a router for the Base plate and install a battery and a small switch.

What is your opinion or technique ?

Created a new Tile in CAD to fit my stand of the X-wing, included also a hole for the wires.
The Base is made out of two Tiles to fit in my small picture frame.

1. continue weathering
2. finish base
