These are Revell?

The A-Wing is passable, but not quite Bandai standards. Same for the TIE Silencer.

The Monkey-Poo Walker, though... are we sure that's not LEGO? The hell? That's awful.

Fascinating.

You'd think that, with Bandai raising the quality bar with Star Wars models, that Revell would feel some pressure to compete. I guess they figure the kiddie market is their bread and butter, though. Which is a shame for them. Since Bandai's products successfully cover a wide audience range. The snap together and sticker angle covers the kids, and the general accuracy and fidelity aspects satisfies nerdy adults.

Looking for the positives, the A-Wing pilot figure looks actually not horrible. But overall, as we should expect from Revell, these are assemble-yourself toys. Revell's slogan should be: "Revell: Frankly, We'd Rather Be Making Toys.TM"

I'm concerned about what's behind Kylo Rens TIE in this photo.
Please no!!! Not another Death Star in TLJ!!!!!!

"Uh, we don't have any Resistance Bomber models we can put in the background!"

"Meh, just use some out of focus B-wings, turn em backwards. That's close enough. That probably all the TLJ Art department did to come up with the design, anyway..."

Apart from the McQuarrie styled A-Wing I'm really not liking these designs anyway, ignoring the terrible job Revell has done here. Kylo Ren's TIE just looks terrible, like something from the extended universe crap from the late 90s.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the B-Wings in the background. That is the same formation the Resistance Bombers are using in the trailer when the A-Wings fly through.

The lead time on these models is so far ahead that at the time, they might have actually been using B-Wings as stand-ins and later switched them out with the bombers

I think the A-Wing looks quite good and so does the Tie Silencer. In fact I kind of like the Tie Silencer better seeing it here compared to the CGI shots we've seen that make it look like a bad video game render.

Can't wait to see Bandai's versions (hopefully)

The Walker is a horrible design to begin with, and I think they just gave up and said no over 9 year old is buying it anyway so let's not invest too much in it

Hopefully these box scales wind up close to a useful scale

I really like the A-wing, and the Tie fighter, I will definitely be buying them. The detail looks pretty good, nice pilots, and at least some cockpit detail to work with. So far, I've found most of Revells SW kits to be fun to build, and with a little t.l.c they can look great. But not that gorilla walker thing, it's just plain dumb. I do wish they would just stop doing the 'box' scale nonsense though.

So Revell has the scales listed on their website

https://www.revell.de/produkte/star-wars/star-wars-episode-viii.html

A-Wing 1/44 - that should fit nicely with the 1/43 Di Agostini falcon or the old mpc X-Wing and won;t look too out of place near some 1/48 stuff either

Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter 1/70 - This will be pointless if Bandai releases one

First Order Heavy Assault Walker - 1/164 bad design made even worse by that model. who cares? If anyone does, it should fit nicely with the Cargo walker from Rogue One or the Falcon they are reissuing

Boosted X-Wing - 1/78 again who cares. Bandai has a true 1/72 scale version

Millenium Falcon (reissue) 1/164 odd scale. Would rather have a Bandai 1/144 one with better details

Republic Gunship reissue 1/72 (reissue) - hell yes. This is actually the one I am looking forward to the most. Prices on E-Bay Amazon etc.... have gotten insane

Oh my gosh, yes! I'm guessing these aren't available to order quite yet?

I'm just sayin', there better be a damn good in-universe reason for an AT-AT to be walking on it's "knuckles" or for there to be "knuckles" in the first place. But it's the head that does it for me. Swap the monkey head with a standard AT-AT and this might -- might -- look cool.

Meh. I looked at the Revell A-Wing at Target this morning, then decided to go with the Hasbro toy for only $10 more. I think I'm much happier with the toy.
