Friends,

looking for some help with the 11th Doctors donegal tweed. I'm trying to find some pictures that show a)the construction of the thing, specifically any seams at the back, and b)the lining of the jacket. Help greatly appreciated! I'm also curious about the true colour of the elbow patches. Are they a dark brown, or black?

Jo-Ann has a great lining fabric that drifts between gold and brown depending on the lighting. I'll look it up for you. Also the elbow patches are dark brown. I'm using deerskin for mine because I had it sitting around and it matches the color and weight. The pattern is a standard two piece back with a center vent.

OK, the liner fabric you're going to want to look for is Sew Essentials potting soil lining. (#0143 1519) It's $4.99 per yard.

I used a picture on Steve's blog to pick that stuff, can't remember where it was, though.

The one detail I'm looking for is a shot of the underside of the pocket flaps. If they're wool, lining fabric, or pocketing fabric.

Awesome. Risu, what is the approximate colour of this lining? I can't seem to find an image online.

Hi Guys - I thought I'd go to the best for advice. Ignoring the ticket pocket and the lining, would you let it pass as an 11th Doctor Donegal stand-in? flash is always used on the right, natural light on the left. Brown isn't very well captured by the meager camera!
