I was wondering, where can I find a toy car like the little red one used in Doc Browns demonstration in Back To The Future...

Thanks for your help!!:thumbsup

I have one. I actually bought two, but they were black with the insides a red color. I took one apart and painted it red and the interior the white/off white color. I then drilled a hole and put a turn key in it. It looks great. I do have the other black one to sell if you are interested. You would just need to repaint it. If you can give me an emaill address I can snap some photos for you.

Oh you mean this one??

I just scored this like not even a week ago on eBay.. I still need to custom it to screen version.. Though I got it pretty cheap, like less than half price for what I've seen it go for.. I know there is a site that sells them, will have to find it for you..

Nope, found it without to much trouble.. You can try:

They go for $200 there, but not sure if he has any left.. Have to ask him..

so is it just a plastic model of a cadillac or was it a working Toycar the propmaster changed`?

it was a full metal body friction car, where you pushed it numerous times in a forward motion, then just released it. It had a metal body and plastic seat section.

For the film, they added a non working key, and clever editing. They also put a cover over the backseat to hide the pyro effects.

Contrary to popular belief this car is NOT a wind up vehicle. If you watch the movie closely you’ll see Marty wind up the car, and then when he’s about to release it, it cuts back to doc, when we see the car again, it’s already in motion.. The car is basically one of those little cars that you had as a kid, that push forward to get the wheels going and when you release it, the car pulls itself with a mechanism inside..

You’ll also notice in the rear seat of the car, they covered that part over for the movie, because that is where they hid the small explosive that created the fire on screen.. You could easily convert this to look just like the movie with a single wire coat hanger and a small pencil.. If you look closely you can see the pencil coming out the Cadillac with the " Lightening rod " coming out of the pencil.. You can use the wire coat hanger to make the lightening rod and the turn key!

200 quid.....there having a bubble arent they.....:lol

Exactly why I held out til I got a way better deal.. This is via the same ones who do the remote and canisters etc..

The original Caddys made for the film were in actuality modified to be battery powered. There was a switch on the underside and it was powered via a 9V battery.

I saw the one Kevin Pike saved from production on my first trip out to LA - easily 2003 or 2004.

I need to add the hook on mine as well as a more screen accurate key. Is that a piece of pencil that is inserted that the hook attaches too?
