Red 3 build up

Richard,.. you are out-doing yourself. ;)

After discussing these birds with Richard, and seeing a technique that I love with his canopy, (resembling the real original models).. Richard and I decided to go the route less traveled,.. the Ep IV version. So,.. the ROTJ 5 footer that he just did is now on Ebay for a lucky person to get. ;)

Thanks for doing this build for me. This reproduction of the real (Lucasfilm Archived) ANH 2 foot filming miniature is one that has yet to be done, so look like you'll be the first. :D

Your technique is amazing...

Everyone keep in mind that I like my birds "idealized" and thus the cockpit, pilot, and R2 unit will be different from the REAL filming model.

This is going to be AWESOME.. Thanks again Richard...

I didn't realize the paint was so chipped opn this one. Looks great.

LOLOLOLOL...Rob... Yeah,.. the real beastie is pretty messy. More glue gobs than I care to see on such a classic piece of history. LOLOLOLOL. I will eventually show a few select side by side comparison shots with the real "archived" model when Richard is finished and sends it my way. ;)

Richard,... DUUUUUUUUUUUDE... ;) :D I just can't praise enough here.

Amazing Richard. Please ignore my inquiry on your Ent D thread---now I know what you've been up to. :eek

Now thats Red 3, wonderful Richard, ive said it before but the work on these kits is getting super accurate now, everyone is really throwing down and coming out with some amazing replicas. Thankfully, not of Red 5 lol, now im not dissing the 5 guys, just tired of seeing it done over and over, its great to see some more diversity in the X wing squadron.

Had to go in for a 2nd look. Looking forward to the comparison, Kurt. Rich -- phenomenal work. Reference quaity, I'm sure.

I'm getting scared to even try to paint one of these.

I am a curious about the 5' model that is being listed on e-bay. I looked for it but could not find it. Anyone have a link to that?

I belive that the RPF doesn't allow auction links within their threads, but the auction number if you want to see it is 170092011862.

The pics that Richard placed on do not show the bird in it's completed form as he added in the engine crossbars and also added some more markings after those shots were taken.

Remember that the auctioned bird is a 2 foot replica of the 5 foot version. ;)
