Great update, love the pics. Question about the weathering though: how did you apply the liquid masking? Just flick it on with a toothpick or something?

Red 3 is officially finished! Weathering this was actually very very fun.....can't wait to get onto Red 5 now...
I didn't like the kit decals, too thick and bright, so I painted the blue spiral strip on instead
Again, the decals are very thick but I didn't have much choice. I don't have any MicroSol or Set so eh
I did almost all of the burn marks and discolourations with RLM Grey through an airbrush, I just held an old credit card in front to create the edges
I darkened areas and created streaking with pastels
Next thing will be to mount it on a base....

I did it with a fine pen haha....I hate Finemolds' decals....they're always so thick and never stick to anything unless it's totally flat

Anything on the Red 5?
Micro Sol and Micro Set work great for getting those decals on non flat things
Of course paint or pen generally looks better than decals for just about any markings anyway
