They aren't finished yet, but I couldn't resist putting them out there to see.

Wow, those are nice lightsabers you have there, which Jedi carries those?

:) (ducks)

Seriously, nice collection of Dr. Who drivers you have going. What is needed to finish them?

Pretty interesting items. What are your plans for the collection?

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks in regards to the lightsabers :lol

I just finished the slider section and am working on the blue tops currently (I had to improvise with one which turned out pretty good). I am also in the process of cleaning up the bottom knobs.

These things are honestly a pain to make. Since they are hand made, they are "all" a little different. The sliding part and top section is made of 15 seperate pieces (including epoxy pockets). The body is the easy part. I can turn them out on my grandfather's lathe almost at will (just a little different each time :angel)

The only gripe I have is that I haven't come up with a way to make the small circles in the emmiter section. I thought I had solved the problem, but realized it wouldn't work. The search continues.

Once they are finished, I think I am going to keep one and put the others up on ebay. I haven't decided yet although I can't imagine keep them all.

As for the longer one on the bottom, that was one of the first two I made. This one doesn't open like the other ones. I probably will keep either that one, or the practice blank that is down the basement for a "FUTURE" project :cool The difference is the longer version looks more to the size of the prop that is Doctor uses now, as opposed to the others that I made that are closer to the 9th Doctor (5 3/4 long shut and about 7 inches open). The scrap blank is closer to the 9th Doctor's and I don't think that is right, but I will see.

Thanks again for all the comments.
