Please don't forget to VOTE . yes for the 2012 Halloween costume contest . ( you don't have to vote for me there is a lot of good costumes this year just don't forget to vote . thanks .
1. about 65 lbs . not to bad with the belt strap.i made it to where it rests evenly on my shoulders, not just straps. it feels tight to get into like a real space suit.
2 . (LordCaharin) as wall. I got the "dome" from a Lamp Globes USA. I used a 24" polycarbonate globe and cut it into sections so as the dome can open and close on Buzz. The polycarbonate was a bit more pricy than acrylic but was worth it . I have dropped it a number of times and it has not scratched or cracked(knock on wood).
I plan to be at ECCC this year, and was just thinking last night how cool a buzz Lightyear cosplay would be. Can't wait to see if you do indeed break it out again this weekend.
I did the same thing last year, got a hell of a reaction from people at PAX2011 and ECCC in 2012. I might dust it off and redo some of the more troubled places for a V2 of it next year.
Got to see this costume up close and person last night at a costume contest locally. I have to say that I couldn't have been happier coming in second place to this guy Nice to know someone else locally who does this kinda stuff! Amazing work my friend
