Yeap, that is exactly what it is.

When I heard they were making a Rock'em Sock'em Robots movie, i was
like..... Your kidding me right.

But this looks like it may be decent.

Now the Rubiks Cube movie, I can't see the point in it?

I must say that it looks interesting, from a design standpoint. Story? Let´s see, but transforming such a game concept into a feasible movie concept, well that is something. For Rubik´s cube I can see a mystery thing going on, or a metaphysical or probably a drama about a mathematican. Young guy, mopping the floor, professor finds his rubiks cube solved, and hunts that guy down since he sees a lot of promise in him and does not want to see his talent wasted. Interesting concept, huh?

Well it looks like they took Rock 'em sockem robots and mixed it with ultimate fighting instead of just boxing. Also reminds me of a few low budget stop motion giant robot movies I saw lol.

Robot Jox? Yeah. Although that was where they piloted the bots rather than remote control.

Thanks I forgot the name. This would be more entertaining if the robots had their own minds to some level. That way it could be Rocky meets Rock 'em sockem robots lol.

Hey, guys... This is based off the Richard Matheson short story, "Steel" (which was adapted into "The Twilight Zone" episode with the same name). It's not Rock'em-Sock'em Robots, not Robojox... Just another Matheson-inspired film.

I'm not digging the look of it. There was a graphic novel years ago that I loved called Super Boxers that was somewhat similar in concept except the boxers were human boxers with scifi getups that they would wear rather than robots.

Saw the preview before Tron and I thought really we need Rock'em Sock'em robots? You know you're going to see a Robot head get knocked loose like the toy. The sequel to this is going to be Crossfire the movie.

First thing I thought of was the Futurama episode "Raging Bender" where Bender becomes a ultimate robot fighter.

I had to resist shouting "We want Gender Bender!" during the trailer. :lol
