Re: My 1st attempt at a Pep costume.....SPACEMARINE

This is quite simply amazing. The whole build looks awesome and I can't wait to see pics of the the whole thing finished and put together. :thumbsup

So glad I caught this thread. Brilliant build, and loving the foam skinning technique. Great proportions. Can't wait to see more, keep it up! :thumbsup

Dude, that is fantastic! Play a bit of 40k now and then and love the Night lords and Conrad Curze. Looking forward to seeing the next update. And that Chaos back pack it is spot on. Well done!

Just unlurking to applaud your efforts here. I have a suit of shoddily-made terminator armor in my basement, and I wish I'd used your technique here for building it. That pack is incredible looking.

I cant fault your choice to go to chaos, but I'm not sure about the Night Lords -- I'd have gone with World Eaters. I mean, who doesn't want a chainaxe?

Wow dude this is truely awesome. I should get back working on my terminator armour at some point.

Holy sh*tmonkey that is awesome work! I don`t know how I managed to miss this thread but your idea of skinning the pep with foam is just amazing.

just wow. did you consider attempting this with just the foam and no pep? or did the pep just make it that much easier?

Thanks guys !!

A bit more progress.

Hey I wondered, did you foam the gun aswell?

Hiya, loving the build, looking really good! I've just put together a Mk.7 helmet, my first attempt at using Pepakura, its not too bad considering a first attempt.

Are these Shineys unfolds?? Did you print them off as is, or rescale them?

Thanks.

Great build! Definitely coming together here, looking forward to seeing the final product.

I noticed the PVA Wood glue in an earlier post, is that all you used to seal the foam for painting? Did you do the method of several coats of diluted glue?

Again, i've just found this thread and have spent the past half hour reading through and it's AWESOME! Well done fella! Massive kudos to the build and the thread! Had to laugh at the ever evolving chin beard throughout the thread too :D Very very well done!

Whats the final height with the suit on and how tall are you normally? :)

I love your build.. I am so impressed. I like the idea of skinning the suit with foam.. gives the bulk but not the weight. How much does it weigh?

I seethat you added the skull and wings to the armor. What did you use to make them? They do not look like foam.

I look forward to seeing this finished.. sorry it is not done before halloween.

Ok..it's been a long time since I did some work on this and a while since I up-dated this thread.

I'll just show progress shots and then show where I'm at with it.

Finally got the bolter finished...
