Re-introducing SS X-Wing Blue Leader- NEW PICS!

So I decided to take a new set of pictures of my Salzo V2 SS X-Wing. This was built as Blue Leader (pre-Red 2). I built this last year and a lot of you have already seen it. The pics I had were kinda crappy indoor and outdoor pics in harsh light. I got a new camera so I thought I would try it out. Anyway, I was tired of all the "Red This" and "Red That" and needed to do something different. I do have a second Salzo V2 in the box. It will be a "Red Something", just not sure which one yet.

Well enjoy the new pics. Oh, for some reason I really really like the rear shot of the engines lit up.

That looks sweet! Are you using the R2 unit from the ROTS Starfighter kit? I am using the same one. Just haven't gotten anywhere near the finish line yet.

Thanks guys, glad you like the new pics. Gotta try my hand at green screen now.

Yes, that is the plastic two piece R2 from the Jedi fighter model kit. Much better shape to the dome than the resin piece. I had to build him up as he sat to low in the strip. I added some aluminum rings to his shoulders and of course 150 fiber optics in his noggin!

Thanks. Had to play with my new camera. Posted new pics in the general modeling secion of some other builds and current projects as well. I've been on a building hiatis due to my cancer scare. But I'll be back to finishing up my Ani SD soon and will update that thread as well with new pics.:cool
