I tried to get into Galacticabuilders in the last couple of days. Can't access any of it's features. Do any other members of the site know what's going on?

I had to re-request membership. I haven't checked it yet since my confirmation that I am back in. I'll check into it tonight.

It appears something has happened. It seems the system has "forgotten," lost or deleted the names of some or all the people registered. The exact same thing just happened to me. I hadn't been there in a long time.

Or, maybe he just kicked us out? Who knows. . .

Hi Guys

I am the owner of Galacticabuilders. I started it up to help people out. Unfortunately my email address associated with that site became corrupted and I couldnt log in at all. Am not sure how to rectify so I haven't been able to adminster it. There is another adminstrator for the group on the RPF perhaps he can assist.

I am the great and all powerfull Oz. Sorry, the new administrator for the galacticabuilders site. I've been cleaning house lately. I deleted alot of accounts that were bouncing emails back and those who choose not to accept emails. If you want back in tell me why you want to join. The group has been quite as of late. This is unacceptable. The group is not ment as a place to hang out and watch. It is ment to help others in active Galactica builds. Either the Galactica herself or other Galactica related ships. Now with that said, join if you meet those requirements.

George :D

sorry I guess what I meant to ask was:

JUST Galacticas? or vipers, raptors, base stars, colonial one's and Galacticas?

Anything as far as "physical" models of Galactica theme. Galactica, Colonial Movers, Vipers, etc.

George :D

It's still not working for me. Even after the newly renewed membership. Whazzzuuuuuup.

I figured it out. It's the stupid yahoo email. I never wanted to have to use the Yahoo email address so it's inactivity locked up the account.

I'll just set it up in outlook and that should keep it active.

I'd really appreciate membership. I'm working on Viper stuff now, and always love to talk about Viper, Raiders, and Big G. I don't have the courage to try and build my own G now, but thats kinda the goal for someday.

Jesse, didn't you do a studio scale Viper?. I seem to remember some posts on MW about it, but haven't been able to find anything.

So Jesse, when is that new and improved Cylon Raider coming out? I hear you redid the main body.

I guess this is as good a chance to introduce myself as any, so....

Hi everyone, this is Mike Salzo, glad to be here. Anyway, Jesse and I will be restoring and reworking the Raider over the winter, the upper body master took a real beating the last time we made molds so it's a good chance to rework the kit. I guess we will start a thread when we have something interesting to show.

thanks

Alright Mike. Glad to see you around. I guess you can say "nice to see you out of the closet". :D It's always good to hear from people and thier projects instead of everything being a big damn secret. This is what I want Galacticabuilders to become. A "sharing" forum. Hopefully here to. Life is to short for secrets. Sorry, done with the rant.

Thanks, and a bit back on topic, i hope that i can join Galacticabuilders, while i don't know if i would tackle a full studio scale Galactica i would love to build a nice 1/2 studioscale for myself... not sure if that would be frowned upon at Galacticabuilders, but i'm sure that the info members could provide me with would be valuable.

Sure, anything studio scale-ish, BG related and made out of physical materials (not ones and zeros) is welcome IMO. CGI has been discussed recently, but more as a construction tool for blueprinting. There are plenty of other forums for CGI discussion. We just like big-ass starship models.

I think it's at around 250 members now, with very few contributors. This has always seemed very strange to me- someone must be building something out there?

The group focus is really for people who enjoy building physical BG replicas, although if you wish to contribute in showing your work in a smaller scale, you are most welcome. I built a 4.5 foot Galactica years ago before I got really serious about the subject, but have yet to see a half-scale version. I'd love to do one myself, but the bench is full for the next few years.

See you there. :)

Mike, Oz

Cool, I am closing the casting shop for the winter and will be working on some scratchbuilt kits for spring release, but first i plan on spending 2-3 weeks building a 1/2 scale Galactica, i know i won't finish it in that time but I think it's actually a good "warm up" for some other projects. If all goes to plan I will start a thread over in General modeling to track my progress....
thanks
mike
