Raptor Bust New Pics Pg. 3 - Jurassic Park Velociraptor

Re: Jurassic Park Velociraptor Bust

It's been a really long time since I worked on this last but I finally started to work on the neck. The folds in skin on the neck are bare foam right now so that they're nice and deep, I'm not sure if maybe I will coat them with anything before paint or not. I hope to finish this week

Re: Jurassic Park Velociraptor Bust

Almost ready for paint. I think I am going to smooth out the creases in the neck with some kwik seal. And will also add small lumps all over with tiny drops of liquid nails

Well the base colors are now on the sculpture. I used Montana gold spray acrylic (elm and terra I believe). Now I need to add a ton of black and gray. Right now it's kind of looking like a lost world raptor but my ultimate goal is for the original one from the first movie. A lot of people think they were gray in that movie but in reality it was just because of the lighting. They actually had these orange and tan colors underneath the black and gray.

Hold on to your butts! One side of the sculpture is pretty much done with paint. I plan on doing a very light black tint on the eye lens and applying a dull clear over the whole thing when I'm done. Now on to the other side

Thanks! It does look very lifelike i must admit. I live in a duplex, I was thinking about putting this by the neighbors window and see what happens LOL
