Randy Cooper 38" Star Destroyer Kit

My preordered SD kit showed up yesterday. The box was a little banged up and did have cracked piece (easily repaired). Unfortunately the included CD took the brunt of the damage and was in itty bitty pieces in its sleeve. I have never seen so many large resin parts in a kit before. Definitely need some thought as to securing the large pieces to the frame.

Such a stunning kit I am both excited and scared to get started. Nothing fancy here, just a straight no frills build, I hope to start this week. Too many projects get too complicated for me with lights and add ons that they spend forever in prep. I am just going to build this one so I can enjoy it finished, not spend years "planning it."

Great casting, the details are amazing I'm little discouraged just looking at what I'm getting into but will slowly get threw it. This will be awesome once finished.

I'd like to but so little time. Besides, there are pros out there who would do a much better job.

I have one commission ready to build with LEDs and fiber optics, but i have to finish an x-wing and a radiant VII first, thats why i wanted a facon like you have!

Well your build (and the few others that are occurring) scared me, so mine is sitting in a box. :unsure
May be beyond my skills, for sure is beyond my current equipment (I live in an apparent with no workspace and no big clamps, much less a few hundred of them:rolleyes)

Randy actually included in the kits a length of steel wire to fabricate those from.
Looks like it will be fun.
I don't think even he has put them on the one he built yet.
