Thanks very much guys,........although......now with the more beautiful images created by SteveStarkiller, this build looks a bit rough.......as Steve himself said after I made that comment on another thread, this build is kind of like the version between RMQ's & the ILM version.

V2 will look nicer (I hope)

Just ended checking the thread and all I can say is Wow wow and wow! Your work is an inspiration, it made me want to give it a try.

Plus i remembered how I love McQuarrie's designs and how cool it would be to make most of his designs into models!

Thanks BrundelFly,....I see this build as an experiment,.....trying to modify an existing kit into a concept version....a bit of scratch building needed
...also it's been a long time since I've painted, so a good ship to test techniques (that I've learned from the excellent people here)

Brilliant conversion john , made me go through my Star Wars books, and some of mcquarrie's other brilliant designs, I must not get distracted from my hasbro build but it's very tempting to think about these especially the snow speeder . Also while watching rebels with my son , there are a lot of mcquarrie's designs there, but the new Star Wars films look like a lot of influence too, the x wing is more like Ralph's x wing design than the headhunter , and also some storm trooper designs that are being leaked are like older ones , cannot wait .

Yes indeed,......its very exciting times,.....and the new movie hasn't even gone into merchandise mode yet!!!

You should definitely check out the BanDai stuff,......I haven't had that much fun building a kit since I was a kid....honestly

I have a V2 of this build... #1.......which I'm gonna have to get back to.....ahem!
