Ralph McQuarrie Millennium Falcon

Thanks very much guys, I've put some paint on the underside, & it has shown up some parts I need to fix up

It really isn't that far from completion, just the rear legs to create, and tidy up any gaps

Thanks for looking
John

Stealing a line from Airwolf... "No matter how many times I see her, she still takes my breath away". Seriously, it looks THAT good. The shapes seem just right. The extensions on the mandibles seemed to stick out like sore thumbs, but your toning down of them with weathering blended it all in quite nicely.

Thanks very much guys,

.....Almost there....!

Still some paintwork to do and fixing magnets etc:

Amazing! This is one that should tour the star wars con/exhibitions/celebrations circuit. Really looking forward to what your going to do next, even if it wouldn't be finishing that other mpc.

This is just fantastic. Although, I don't quite understand why you needed to start with an MPC. This was pretty much a scratch-build

She's a real beauty!! Thanks so much for sharing :)
Thanks Epona_Rhi, thanks for commenting
Damn.....the rust and weathering is perfect....damn.....
Very nice, amazing weathering.
The painting part was my worry, I've messed so many models up in the past (this model is good training before painting my MPC & Finemolds Falcons)

Thanks VERY much kyuzo that is a great comment, I'd really like people to appreciate the artwork of RMQ, next....back onto the MPC

Yep, using the Revell kit as a base makes it easier to modify & work on, I've never really done a scratch-build
Man, you have done an outstanding job on this one. Beautiful work.
Thanks Bondo Fett, not much more to do
Stunning. Nicely done.
Thanks MFP 2020
I have to say- each time you update this thread, the falcon is becomes more & more breathtaking....
Thankyou tachitachi, not many more updates to go!!
Holy cow! This is amazing! Your work is crazy-awesome, and hugely inspiring to the less-experienced hobbyist. :)
Thanks CareTaker, it is crazy
Can't you just make one using a massive 3D Printer? LOL! :)
That would be amazing!!

Just a quick mock-up,.....background supplied by SteveStarkiller,....thanks:

"What a piece of junk!!.. Really beautiful work, McQuarrie's design is so good, but you can see where the model builders got to add to the design.
