R2 LEGS - What is front / What is back???

Have seen both ways (i.e. on the leg top - the vertical piece towards the front vs. the two round pieces - if that makes sense - and vice versa)

Saw it both ways in early reference pics - Have not looked at too many recent pics...)

Guess it's not a huge deal -And leaning towards the above mentioned configuration - Just didn't know what the 'right' way was)

OPINIONS?

Due to leg swapping they appeared both ways through four of the moves (OT and TPM), as you observed. By Episodes II and III, Don Bies had managed to standardize all the units, so those would arguably be the "official" configuration.

(Whichever it is...I forget myself! :lol)
