R2 Builders club

Looks like R2 Builders club is gone. None of their sites or groups are working. Does anyone else have a copy of the R2 styrene plans?

Guess there will be no full size R2 for me. I am a member of the forum which hasn't worked in over a week, and it appears the file section on yahoo groups is gone!

As Greedo said, they are down for maintenance.

R2 building takes a lot of things... Including patience. The sky is not falling and all is not lost. And for what it's worth, the yahoo group is up and running fine

I am a member of the yahoo group it tells no files section exists. I tried it from an outside link and it said I had to be a member even though I was signed in. I was free all this week and could have gotten a good start. Thanks

i have been trying to find the yahoo group for 2 weeks with no luck...

i just joined astromech about 3 weeks ago, i hate how the yahoo group is laid out and isnt like your standard forum, very confusing to me...

i did a google search this morning " astromech.net down" and someone on the dented helmet said it was down for upgrades and should be back by this weekend

can you tell me the exact name to search for? i have joined the new england r2 builders club, but i have no luck finding the offical one with plans

Maybe the files in the yahoo groups are being merged with the site? I checked as well & couldn't find the files. I am sure it will be back soon though.

The club with the files has over 14K members and an early ep4 promo shot of r2 and 3po as the banner


i know it's probably confusing to new builders, but keep in mind ANYONE can start a yahoo group and name it whatever they want. It would certainly be a lot easier if there weren't so many with similar names, but it's out of anyone's control.

The are a closed group so finding them in a search won't be successful.

ok so i joined the right site, it was r2builders club. there is a yellow like blue print drawing of r2 on the main page>?

edit: can't be the right one, the members are only 1148

i go to alex's site, click the first link. and it brings me to the yahoo group, doesn't show anything and tells me i need to a member...

looks like i need to contact a member and get a invite or something

Click it, your yahoo info will come up, check the appropriate email you want the emails to go to, fill in the weird code, leave a comment, then scroll to the top right of the page and click send request. Then be patient it can take them a few days to approve you.
