Toys 'R' Us Is Back From the Dead With New Stores Opening Before Black Friday
A reimagined Toys 'R' Us debuts soon.
There was some stuff floating around a few months ago where they were looking for people to open franchise so maybe there will be other stores opening in the future. I miss brick and mortar toy stores.Just saw this on the news feed that Macy's is going to try and open a few ToysRus stores.
It will never be the same, but at least they are trying.

Toys ‘R’ Us is back … again | CNN Business
Toys “R” Us is getting another lease on life thanks to Macy’s.amp.cnn.com
So watch them set up a few shelves with some toys and claim to have revived the whole store.
Yeah, but Macy’s will do it. They did it with FAO Schwartz. They are already selling Toys R’ Us branded through their website, and since this will only be inside their Macy’s stores, it is not a big stretch or gamble for them.Theyve tried this every christmas since TRU closed, and it never goes anywhere.
I doubt they will focus on those items. TrUs was so much more than just those few isles and I’m betting they won’t be accommodating the “collecting geek” (most of us hereI basically want a good collectibles section that they used to have, with all the NECA stuff and movie-centric goodies, plus diecast cars of all scales. If they fail that it's not something I can use. It does help to compare some items in the store, better paint applications sometimes on one over another. Prices can be ok since you do not need to spend money on shipping costs. Fingers crossed I guess.

What you are describing sounds more like a comic book shop or hobby store. Now if they purchased Think Geek and were implementing that brand in their store as a inner shop, then I could see that type of product being the focus.
I just found an old TRU shopping bag. The memories, oh the memories ...
