Re: Richard Attenbourgh Dies aged 90

Oh how terrible, but he lead a great and full life and his work will live on.

Re: Richard Attenbourgh Dies aged 90

Long and great life with many memorable roles in front of and behind the camera.

RIP Sir Attenborough, well earned.

"I don't believe it. I don't believe it! You're meant to come down here and defend me against these characters, and the only one I've got on my side is the blood-sucking lawyer! "

Goodbye John Hammond. RIP. :(

Re: Richard Attenbourgh Dies aged 90

He was 90...Made a great life for himself and left a legacy of creative work to be proud of. rip

Re: Richard Attenbourgh Dies aged 90

He made his Great Escape. 90 is a good run, and a great legacy. I should be so lucky.

Re: Richard Attenbourgh Dies aged 90

Just saw this on MSN, if i hadn't been reading the tiny articles listed on the side i'd have missed it.

Re: Richard Attenbourgh Dies aged 90

This really is a crappy year for celebrity deaths. I hope this isn't another round of 3 passings.

If it is I vote for Shia, Michael bay, and megan fox. Seriously can't we trade them for the classy folks we've lost?

This scene is the one that I feel defines who the Hammond character was: a man trying to dazzle the world, much like any filmmaker wants:

I was really hoping they'd have been able to get him out of retirement and the nursing home for even a guest shot in the new JP movie.

Another legendary old school Icon gone.

He was a fantastic Actor, loved him as Pinkie and Frenchie in their respective movies.

As a Director one only has to mention Ghandi.

What a brilliant Man!
