This scene is the one that I feel defines who the Hammond character was: a man trying to dazzle the world, much like any filmmaker wants:

I was really hoping they'd have been able to get him out of retirement and the nursing home for even a guest shot in the new JP movie.

He was a fantastic Actor, loved him as Pinkie and Frenchie in their respective movies.
