So... I have a kit from one of the fine feelow here, and it's a FO TIE kit. I want the paint nice and shiny and durable. I'm considering spring to have the helmet and armor painted by a local automotive shop since the catalyzing paint they use will be a LOT more durable than the usual rattle can stuff. Any issues I should consider?
If I were to go rattle can, I was thinking something like the epoxy "appliance" paints available from Rustoleum or Krylon. I used them successfully in prop application and they are relatively tough, but wonder if anyone has any long term durability experience with those.
