Hey guys, I'm starting a foam War Machine costume and today while browsing around big lots I noticed a 46x93" EVA foam mat that looks like diamondplate on one side and smooth on the other. Now, I have seen the threads utilizing the Ozarks Trail Camping mat from Wal-mart but I am wondering what differences there are between the PE foam, Closed Cell, Open Cell, EVA, etc!!!
I want to use this type of mat to build my costume and use the Rosco Flexbond technique that was mentioned in the other threads. Will this adhere to the EVA foam? Can EVA foam be painted with just adhesion promoter as Ive read on cosplay forums?
I just wanted to know if you guys that have experience can post info here to help foam newbs like me and others, rather than asking questions in the other iron man foam build threads.
