Question on masking fluid

Are there any decent alternatives to actual labeled masking fluid? I was thinking about a inexpensive latex paint. Anyone tried a cheap sub?

Rubber cement. I've used it.

most masking fluid is just diluted liquid latex.

Yep, buy you some cheap liquid latex. Same stuff. (or close enough)
