Question ' Han Solo in ESB...

Hello,
Is the jacket that Solo wears in ESB
the same as his vest

I have the complete costume including leather belt with
blaster for a life size statue I´m doing.

I have the blue jacket and am considering taking the arms off
and giving him the more common look in a vest.

This is also more common in all pictures fromt he films.

So what do ya think...

Jacket or vest
and
are they the same if I took the arms off

No, they are not. I believe that the vest and jacket are likely to have been made from the same base pattern but the pockets are different, and the vest does not have a collar.

The same base pattern was also used for the ANH Rebel troopers vest and commander's jackets, only they were longer and had different pockets, placed differently.

The jacket is blue and the vests are black. So, anyone who knows would think it was pretty starnge that you had a Solo with a blue vest.
