Hello!
So I am making a legend of zelda kokiri shield and I am unsure on how to proceed with the next step. I have put down three layers of plasti dip on the heat sealed foam shield and I was reading foamsmith by Bill Doran, which recommends to seal the plasti dip with a clear plasti dip before moving on to a primer. I was wondering if using rustoleum matte clear enamel would be sufficient before laying down my primer. I also have a can of grumbacher matte final varnish which i intend to use at the very end to seal in my dirt and grime layer that i will create with oil paints.
Long story short, will the matte clear enamel work? Or should i use clear plasti dip to seal black plasti dip. I also need to go over my seams with more kwik seal and i was wondering if I should do this before or after i seal the plasti dip with a clear matte sealant. I hope I have adequately pasted on my inquiry.
