Question about BEVERLY HILLS COP Prop

I've checked screencaps from BHC and BHC II (but not III), and have searched the various online lists of fictional badge numbers from films and TV shows. But I've found nothing from which I can glean Axel Foley's Detroit PD shield number.

Does anyone know whether the number was ever revealed? Or am I searching for information that doesn't exist? :confused

My guess would be it doesn't exist then...

Do Bruce's badge from Die Hard 3. The number is worked into the script.

Thanks for your thoughts about Axel's badge. I'm still hoping someone might come up with the number and reliable evidence to prove it... but I'm guessing you're probably right that the number doesn't exist.

As for Bruce's badge from Die Hard With a Vengeance... what number do you have for this badge? To the best of my knowledge, NYPD ranks of lieutenant and higher have serial numbers inscribed on the back, but not on the front. If you look at caps from the film, you'll see his badge doesn't have a number.

Compare McClane's badge (below top) with the badge of his colleague, Det. Walsh (below bottom). You can see the NYPD Detective's badge has a serial number bar beneath the shield, while the NYPD Lieutenant's badge does not.

If you have a serial number for the McClane badge, I'd love to know about it. :)
