Question about a Mold Max 30 mold? HELP!

Okay so a while ago I made a 2 piece mold of a head, but after so many pulls there are many imperfections. Am I able to pour melted clay into the mold, let it harden, then demold and retool the clay? The mold is mold max 30, the clay is Van Aken. I could really use some help here. Thanks!

Yes, but the Van Aken is very soft, and I have a feeling you'll damage it getting it out of the mold. Monster Clay makes really excellent clay pours, and holds its shape a little better. You can also run it in hydrocal and retool that, which is typical of lifecasting procedure.

Why not 'retool' one of your casts?
