Quantum Mechanix?

I think they're still on track. This was just announced last March and it takes 1-2 years to put something out the door. It took forever to get the big damn replica out but even now, you're looking at build to order which could take 90 days.

Also keeping a close eye on this one but I hope they price the 34" version lower than the Serenity. $1500 seems on target.

I thought they already had it figured out since they did all those models for the movie opening??? I would have figured it was all ready to go!

First of the Star Trek products will be available sometime in second quarter of this year. As FusedNova stated it can take a good year or more to get a product of any complexity ready for market.

Best place to keep up with any new product news is our newsletter which you can sign up for at http://www.quantummechanix.com/QMx_Insider.html

Jim, that link doesn't seem to be working. I am getting "This website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later. " When clicking on it.

Whatever happened to the Universal Monsters stuff? I wanted one of those Creature hand fossils about as bad as I've ever wanted anything. Maybe I missed the update but it just quietly seemed to go away...

Without being too crude and simplistic, or incensing Jim (who is a great guy and has done nothing but good things):

One of the guys involved with the company (who unfortunately happened to have all the "keys to the website kingdom") did a takeover and pushed the founder (and most of the people that got it started, including myself) out, and decided to make it a replica company for stuff he was interested in fostering - Firefly, mostly. Brilliant tactics, really. I learned a lot, lol!

So, Universal Monsters wasn't a priority, and the license lapsed.

Also, if anyone is interested in any of the resources that they use to make the vinyl maquettes, I was foolish enough to pass the info along to the guy who shut me out - I'd be happy to give you guys the same info, if you want to get your own vinyl maquettes or toys made at affordable rates, overseas. I still want to make a few "urban vinyl toys" one of these days!

The cool thing about them is that they can work from drawings, and have excellent sculptors on-staff!
