Why announce this now? How about when you get info on the replicas you had announced a few years back?

I agree, where is the Artisan Refit Enterprise & 2009 Enterprise that were announced 1.5 and 3 years ago? none have shipped in 3 years.....going on 1.5 years for the Refit. Leaves a lot to be desired, besides the pre-orders have been halted on these for months with nothing shipped to my knowledge.
They announce it now probably because CBS wants them too. Just like when MR and eFX got the Star Trek license, they both make big annoucements even though it was months or a couple of years before anything was released and they had other things in the fire too.
Oh Goodie, now we will be able to buy a $2500 PLAYMATES Phaser.

I'd be excited if I had any interest in silly posters or cartoon statues of Trek characters.

I'll bet if it was someone wanting to place an order the PM system would have worked great for you.
Since the PM system started on the RPF, I've never NOT gotten one and I've received litterally thousands. Is it possible that there was a glitch in the system. I suppose, but it works pretty darn well. Just a little too convenient for my taste. :rolleyes
Though I have no dog in this fight, poor customer service is up on my top five list of personal pet peeves.

Wow. That's...wow.
To address the basic point: I thought it was a recent message and, since there was no current PM in by inbox, I said I didn't see it. I didn't say I didn't "get" it.
I got it previously and, as I recall, did address it on the forums.
In either case, I'm sure people here can tell you I respond to PM's whether they're orders, damaged item messages, or questions. I've also contacted people directly on issues they may have mentioned on the board but didn't PM me about.
I'm sorry you've come to the decision that this is poor customer service. That's a shame. But I also think I'm likely fighting an uphill battle in regard to your opinion on both myself and QMx.
From my POV, customer service is about doing your best for the client and, whenever possible, catering to their needs. Some requests, no matter how important they may be to that customer, are beyond my control or are not the policy of the company. Shipping costs are one of the things I've discussed before here and the costs are what they are. QMx does no mark up. We charge no handling. Other companies may have lower shipping, but having worked at other companies, they make up the amount lost in offering lower shipping through other means.
Or, in the case of Amazon, they are so huge they get amazing rates due to volume.
When I can't fix an issue, I look to address it. If I can't handle it, I refer it to someone who can address it.
I figure the people here who like QMx and what what we make are fairly happy with how we do stuff. But I also know there are people here who have a negative opinion and that isn't likely to change because it's usually based on more than one incident. Sooner or later, you just have to accept that and do the best you can with what you've got. ;-)

Hey Talyn,
Sadly, the ZAT is on hold due to the state of the Stargate fan interest. While we know and love that diehards exist, Stargate's been a bit slow all the way around and we'd need to know we have a certain amount of interest to be able to finance the cost of the run.
So, while we'd love to make it, we can't do it currently. If that changes and fan interest revs up again, we'll reassess for sure. ;-)

That's odd.
We've shipped many of each ship, and pre-orders were halted due to how many sold. Basically, we swamped the artisans. More are shipping every week.
I'm not sure how word is out that nothing's shipped. That's simply not the case.

Nahhhhhh. We made the Trek Movie phaser for 59.99 and it's sold out. So why mess with a pretty good idea and pricepoint when we can look to do that with the TOS version?
Disclaimer: I have not been told about a phaser yet. I am not making a product announcement ;-)

Sawweet! I love me some QMX gear. This is nothing but good news.
THIS is what I'm hopeful for. A full line of phasers for display. I don't even mind that they don't do anything (although that would be awesome) as I have my toy phasers that fit the "playing" bill quite nicely.
