I am working on a Psylocke Apocalypse build for my wife for Halloween

Going to try to build the breastplate/ waist armor / side panels from foam
Also will make the piece from the armor to the neck from foam too

The rest will be:
a base bathing suit of some sort.
red/black waist scarf.
tall boot and gloves
wig
sword

Her are a few shots of the WIP on the armor

A little more progress.

A couple more updates. Almost ready to seal and paint. The straps sticking up in the back look off I know but I have a plan for them.

Couple more coats of plastidip and then prime and paint
Going to prime in grey , then main paint color will be Testors custom blue metal flake enamel, then will do dome purple highlights in acrylic if all goes well.
Then the straps for fastening.

The upper chest armor is not as smooth as I had hoped. I either put too much or too little plasti dip on it.
planning on sanding that portion and trying smooth on epsilon. Then will sand it smooth, fill and re- paint.
The bottom portion will be covered mostly by the waist belt/sash and needs to be more fleixible than the top so I am satisfied there.

got the back straps on last night, will try to get a pic of that up.
Still have to darken it some and get some purple highlights , but getting there.

I got the breastplate area sanded and have the epsilon from sooth- on. I will be getting that on later today or next weekend and I think I can smooth the major parts out with that.
in the mean time I found some good material for the sash and have made that.
Also I got the corset attachment on the back as well.
Did a test fit and am really liking the way its going. Hopefully the epsilon will work and I can get the color darkened up a bit.

I will know in a 16 hours if this has worked, but looks good so far

Sanded the epsilon, primed with high build, sanded , primed , filled.....
I undercoated in grey gloss, the topcoat is model master deep pearlescent purple.
I am pretty happy with it, darker than I would have liked but my wife loves the color.
I could have sanded and primed a little more but its good enough
next up I found some stretchy pleather like bluish purple material for the neck area.

Highlighted in model masters plum crazy.
Getting close, just a few brushed on acrylic accents and I am calling the armor done!

Made the main part of the stretch leather neck part.
Sized patterned and sewed it. sewing stretchy pleather was fairly difficult.
We did a test fit to measure where the under suit/bathing suit will need to be altered and to see if everything else was lining up
Need to get straps for her upper arms and legs, finish the stretch leather part, paint up a cheap sword and should be done.

Nearing completion on this. finishing up leg and arm straps and calling it complete.

I have the katana sword but struggling with the color.
Keep it as a standard sword? Or paint the blade a pink/ purple? any thoughts?

I am actually planning on doing a similar build for my gf... unless you can make the sword glow, I would go with standard
