why not? with many parts having 90 angles it would lend it self to be a good method to make a quick lightweight pack
I'd have to agree that the proton pack is one prop that should not be pepped. I'm not an expert at pepping, but I have had some experience in building proton packs. While I agree that being lightweight is a bonus, strength is also important. How would you reinforce the pepped parts? The main parts attach to a motherboard, onto which is mounted an ALICE pack frame. Below is a proton pack I made for Halloween 2010. It's made out of MDF, PVC, wood, and two cake pans for the cyclotron, and the synchronius generator. Electrical conduit boxes were used for the power cell. I built it in two weeks. Now if you want to try and do a pepped proton pack that's your choice. I won't stop you. I think it's much more fun building the pack from stuff you've got around the house. With the exception of the MDF, the cake pans, and the electrical conduit boxes, everything else I had on hand.
Well, if a lightweight pack is what you need, I'd be cheaper and much easier to buy a vac-formed shell off Studio Creations or ebay. I made one of these out of wood and PVC, with metal and resin parts and the pack can get heavy, around 30 pounds. A vac-shell would probably cut down the weight and look a lot better than having all those paper glue joints.
could I get the gun file too please, also is it posible to get the pass for the files?
Please reupload files. Thank youthe proton was made by my m8 movieman he aloud me to post them on the 405th so all thanks goes to movieman.
you can just make the pep boxes then use pipes.
so in movieman's own word " I did this Ghostbuster proton pack model for some friends who wanted to be Ghostbusters last Halloween.
Please note: I made a mistake and the 3D model came out the wrong way round (mirrored) I did not notice this fact until I had completed all the unfolding, so to put this right I have inverted the 2D page so the model will be constructed the right way round.
Have fun Ghostbusting."
the proton gun scale is 1:1
