Prop recaster - Moviemagicman?

It could be Cool/Aresenal but I doubt it, Arsenal recently recast an MR E-11 so why try to hawk the toy with conversion kit recast. And theres a few of his stalwarts missing.


Arsenal just also branched into recasting fossils too not sure how that works but just tossin it out there for anyone into collecting those beware.

I love post con week after seeing that D-bags collection of junk :lol

It'd depend of it was a cast of a fossil to begin with. A couple companies sell castings off real fossils, little harder to tell if these type of things were recast but knowing what a Megalodon tooth in the size the guy was selling goes for, no way in hades did he buy one and chuck it in rubber.
 
Finally heard back from this guy. Here is how he explained his Blade Runner gun.

"sorry dont know rick ross all my props are from molds pulled from actual props the bladerunner was pulled from a metal prop from about 8 years ago"
 
The Battlestar Galactica Colonial Warrior Blaster seems to be a recast.

I have one exactly like it but not a recast.

Lie upon Lie. None of his kits are from actual movie props, and Rick never did a full metal kit, nor did any one make one off of his (unless you count the Mutant Enemy/Once Bitten snub). He had a few metal greebly parts is all. Did anyone save a pic of the PKD? It was taken down before I got to see it. I might be able to tell if it was recast off of one of Rick's kits or another recaster's copy.

looks similar part wise to the coolmodels "PKD" recast of Ricks PKD-1...

Even rougher too. The CM version is all white resin and the ammo clip is molded in, but the blob of resin at the top of the grip frame is odd. Probably broke down a Built-up to make the casting from. Many of the recasts out there are recasts of recasts...kind of inbred spawn. Wouldn't be surprised if it was originally from a CM recast.

I got one of those PKD kits off Arsenal before I joined this forum and knew any better. Sitting boxed on my shelf. hey can you melt down resin and make something else from it? :)

You can smash it into tiny chunks and remix it with liquid resin when casting something else. Some people smash it to near dust, but how to go about that is beyond me.

It certainly looks like the same douuchebagg Arsenals stuff. Has anyone walked up to him at a con and confronted him? Him and his wife are always at DragonCon. Maybe I will do it.
 
Well, I had a feeling I would be searching this thread up, at some point.

This Recaster has recast my PKE kit. Along with it, he has got some Star Trek blasters, SW props and some Galactica stuff. Check if some of your stuff is there.

Also, recasters are not just lazy no-talent-hacks, but they are quite stupid, too. Every since Mattel announced the release of the PKE toy, the PKE prop demand was killed with one swift blow to the head. Even if you get left out, once these ran out at Matty collector, people who really want a PKE will hold-out and save their money for a chance to win it at auction, or if someone needs to let go of theirs, at a forum.
 
if you check out his feedback it bears the quality out. What I always find amazing is that people like that sell a ton of things . I wish there was quality casts at that kind of price range for people with a budget. I see why people buy them but " rough" casts have a wide meaning.

I know. He has got, like 15 negs. How many negs does one need to get himself kicked out of ebay? Some of those comments call him recaster, liar and thief.

BTW, he didn't even recast my kit completely. 3 parts are missing. Not that he would care if you get to finish it, or not. I reported him to Ebay.
