yeah....it's called cerakote. It's a backing process for metals , plastic , resin , etc. Most gun repair shops do that process with bluing or blacking !!! They can do handgrips , special applications for parts....it's expensive but worth every penny.
My gun smith is doing that cerakote on all my Pulse rifle parts , that you see up above in my photo. All parts are made of different materials and each part has to be set on different temps for cerakote !

Thought I'd stick this here too. Added some details to my custom bladerunner blaster. Just for fun.

Found some cool little resistors and some spare LEDs. Plus added some hex screws and a few small flat-heads as a wee nod to the original...

Also found the perfect part as a mock bolt handle. It was off a bike part lol...

Oh and a butt plate detail...

Way happier with it now. Details matter! All mounted...

Ha ha yeah it's a bit of an overkill, but I really like the end result. Done with it now I think. Although may look at doing something with the grip. Maybe a carbon fiber insert where the textured part is...

I'm loving this thread! I just read the entire thing - so some of you might've gotten some random likes from me

I'm just getting into this end of prop collecting. I have a KSC Auto 9 airsoft and an Unobtainium Noisy Cricket on the way. And despite being a tree hugging liberal out here in LA, I've always loved weapons in movies as a kid. The look, the sound of magazines clicking in, everything.

I'm setting my sights on (sorry bad pun) a Joker bang gun from '89 Batman. But I'm trying to confirm the exact model. I posted this in the DC Costumes and Props section but didn't get a response, so I figured I'd turn to the experts here. See below.

Bumping this because I'm planning to make a replica of the bang gun. I'm thinking the bang gun is the same model as the Colt New Service that Jack uses throughout the film, but I wasn't sure if that was confirmed?

Wow there really is some fantastic weapons on this thread, here's some I made a while back


This is a obscure gun the Russian pp90 folding submachine gun made for the KGB in the early 80s.
All scratch built from plastic card with the optional suppressor just need to finish it.

Lawgiver is printed as is the lewis gun from files berkal did and the Webley is from Mike_Brown15 on thingivers that I've started to mod into more of a WG

I just finished a wall display for my blasters (some still need detailing), I don't have many just yet, but I sense more to come.
and ive just finished a refurb of a really knackered metal SidKit blaster and its new stand.

im loving the future weapons thing.
