Prop ID Help! Anyone know what this is?

Hi all, I found some of these rolling around in the shop and can’t remember for the life of me what it is from. Could be Movie or Television.
The button flashes red when pressed and the inside is all jammed with circuit boards and wires.... that do nothing.

Any help with an ID would be awesome.

Tracking transmitter? The kind that could be fired from a gun at sharks or whales, for example, but it would have to have a barb to stay on.

I worked on it and I Do think it’s a tracker, just can’t remember what movie it was for. Jurassic or maybe the amazing Spider-Man with that Crock guy. But don’t think either is correct.
