Prop grenade

I'm making a prop grenade
for the body I'm using the plastic parts from a bottle of Flonase
I'm using some scrap wood to fill and add some weight to the body of the grenade
the head, spoon, ring and pin I bought online from numrich

I couldn't get the holes on the spoon to line up with holes on the head of the grenade
so I knocked the pin out of the head that held the spring in place

looking good....i wonder how it would look if you cut out little squares an glued them on pre-paint?!?!?

you know like one of those pineapple grenades.

I have three sets of the plastic parts so I plan on doing three different versions
for one of the versions I'm going to try something like that

this current one I'm going to paint flat black and add some markings in white
then add a clip to the back and maybe I'll try some weathering

How did you prep the Flonaise cap? It doesn't strike me as the kind of thing that would allow paint to stick to it.

I gave it a quick sand then sprayed it with a coat of primer that bonds to plastic
hopefully the primer and paint don't chip off later
