Prop Awards

I was thinking of making up a MTV Movie award prop. Has anyone ever tackled any Movie/TV awards before?

Another I thought would be cool is the C3PO Award that Steve Sansweet has in his collection. It looks like the Oscar but it is C3PO. I had a pic of this a while ago...anyone have this pic?

Doing 'Oscar' is a BIG no-no as the Academy takes NO prisoners on any one doing a replica.

That being said I have seen some floating around but they are very rare.

I am not interested in doing an Oscar. The award that I am referring to is an actual award that Lucasfilm made for its staff. I am more interested in other "fun" type of awards, like the MTV Movie award, Razzie, or any thing else like that.

Also, I was thinking that someone here should sculpt an RPF award that looks like the logo that SSDesigner did for the caps. It could be given out in a contest. Have we ever done a contest here other than the "Help me and I will give you a prize" posts that show up on the Off Topic forum?

A San Diego Sci-Fi club used to hand out achievement awards that were made from the MPC 3PO model. We cut him up and put him in the stance of an Oscar, we even used the lightsaber from the Kenner 12" Vader figure for the sword.

I'll see if I can come up with a picture.

Although the club gave out the awards for years, and I came up with the idea, I never was awarded one for things I did for that club. Somewhat ironic really.

I think this is the one I saw. Steve Sansweet I think has one of these in his collection. It's pretty cool. I would love one of these.

Send a really poor castings of one for the rougher cases we see on the board. :lol
