(Scratches head...) What's the kit of?

-Sarge

well i mean i want to find any kit that is easy to make, looks good and i just want to get some ideas on what to get before i got out to buy one. thats what i ment to say sorry for not saying my post clearly

Sorry DH, but that probably doesn't help.

What sort of kit would you like to try? :)

Gun?
Model?
Ghostbusters backpack?

What are you interested in?

Whatever it is there are plenty of talented members here who make kits and can advise on something simple. :)

Most resin kits are relatively simple anyway, it's painting, weathering and customising that takes the time. :)

Punctuation and Capitalization am good.

Are you talking about scale models...prop kits...armor kits...? You need to be more specific when asking questions of this talented a group of individuals. We do a little of everything.

Now, that's funny. (Wipes smile off face)

Come on guys, as much as I too am a Grammar Nazi ™, I think it's unfortunate that we welcome a newbie to our forum with that kind of stuff. Let's all try to keep it on the topic at hand.

With that said, I do agree that we need some more info. Are you looking for a prop kit? A model kit? a vinyl kit? Figure kit? All kinds of kits out there to get your feet wet.

It also depends on what kind of skill you are looking to practice or perfect. If you're looking to work on scratch building something, there's one set of recommendations. if you're looking to practice painting, it's something else. Cleaning resin, glueing models, sculpting, casting, whatever. So give us some more information, and I'm sure we can help guide you in the right direction.

yeah yeah my spelling does suck i agree... i am looking for a model kit i dont really care what it is as long as its something interesting thanks....i will also try to start spelling better for you guys :)

well, might want to post in the scale or general model section for this, also where do your interest lie, spaceships, tanks, planes, etc? Whats your skill level? Dont worry about the grammer, got a friend on another board, and his grammer is named after him Tomaglish lol

your spelling isnt that bad, your grammer isnt horrible...

but get your point across... you do not.

so you want a MODEL kit, right?

like a studio scale (SS) kit?

well... O.K. now lets start somewhere easy, do you want to make a plane, a car, a house, a figure, a spaceship... what?

what movies are you most interested in.

like if you love star wars but dont like trek, a klingon bird of prey might not be the best place for us to point you... you see what im getting at?

narrow it down for us, and someone here probably will be able to help you. :D

also if you are looking for a SS kit, you might want to try the SS modeling forum, if your looking to get a regular ol model kit and need some help sprucing her up, try the general modeling section. if you havent yet, prepare to crap your pants. ;) B)

good luck, and if you find something dont be afraid to post WIP pics.

WELCOME TO THE RPF. youve taken your first step into a larger world. :love

hmm thanks alot i will...i would have to say anything starwars i am into any opinions now? :p

Alrighty then... there are puh-lenty of kits available of most every ship and a lot of the vehicles. The Rebel fighters - X, Y, A and B-wing - are very common. TIE fighters and variants are also easy to get a hold of. I'd probably start with one of those.

Well, although not a model, but something cool to display and pretty easy to make. Something that would boost confidence in assembly, I'd suggest an AP or TE2 Stormtrooper helmet. Just a thought.

Welcome to the RPF, a hive of eBay stalkers, amazing and talented artisans and those who spend too much money on plastic helmet's. (I'm in the first and last group) :D

Cheers,

Kraig

what would be a good website to possible get one of those ship models? ill look into the helmet those would be cool to have. thanks for all the help
