Here are some shots of the despatch pod kit made by Richard and mastered by Lee. It was a lot of fun to build and not too hard to light. The only deviation was to use some 8 rad suspension bits around the engine nozzle, and some wiring added for color (a la Lee).
There was a disaster as the paint was drying - it crashed onto the floor and the third tier of the engine nozzle broke into twenty pieces. I decided to leave it as is and paint over the damaged area. I only count two rims used in my reference anyway, so I'm ok with it. Problem is that the LED and inner nozzle detail are a little too prominent. Oh well...:confused
The toughest part of it was masking and spraying the darker graphic shapes on the hull sides. I just cut a mask out of paper and held it down to airbrush. It needed a bit of cleanup as the paint seeped under.
