Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

Does anyone know where I can find, or does any have any POTC paper props?

The only real paper props in the movie are:

- Letter of Marque from Dead Man's Chest
- Charges against Captain Jack Sparrow from Curse of the Black Pearl (which I am currently working on:love)
- Charges against Elizabeth Swann and William Turner as read by Lord Cutler Becket.
- Letter from Governor Swann to King George I regarding her protection (this is an assumed prop since it was only mentioned verbally)
- All of the love letters from Davy Jones to Calypso as seen in the static prop display of Davy Jones treasure chest (not Dead Man's Chest) from the El Capitan theater
- Drawring of a key albeit not a paper prop

I would think that this number would be (310) 062-0999

There are no prefix numbers in the US that are 062 or "0" anything. The (310) would signify that he lives on the Westside on LA (Santa Monica, Brentwood, West LA, Pacific Palisades, Venice, Mar Vista). Pretty much all of the westside.

Maybe this one could be interesting to replicate. :love

Have a nice week-end, in front of your computers, with your friend Photoshop!
I will do the same, my brothers. Don't cry...

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

I think the prop letter is made from these one. This is the original letter to Captain Kidd:

lomck.jpg

"William the Third, by the Grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, … To our trusty and well beloved Captain William Kid, Commander of the Ship the Adventure Galley… GREETING; Whereas we are informed, that Captain Thomas Tew, John Ireland, Captain Thomas Wake, and Captain William Maze… do, against the Law of Nations, commit many and great Pyracies, Robberies and Depredations on the Seas…. Now KNOW YE, that we being desirous to prevent the aforesaid Mischiefs, and, as much as in us lyes, to bring the said Pyrates, Free Booters and Sea Rovers to Justice, have thought fit, and do hereby give and grant to the said William Kid, to whom our Commissioners for exercising the Office of Lord High Admiral of England, have granted a Commission as a private Man of War, bearing Date the 11th Day of December 1695, … full Power and Authority to apprehend, seize, and take into your Custody… all such Pyrates… which you shall meet with upon the Seas,… with all their Ships and Vessels; and all such Merchandizes, Money, Goods and Wares as shall be found on board…"

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

This is the text I come up with. As usual with props of this nature, there is a lot of redundant text.. If someone is not a "purist" I could redo some of it to make it more like it should be.

Re: Free paper-prop thread no.3 - 2008

Another awesome label. Thank you! Do you know what kind of bottle this one goes on?

Thanks TridCloudwalker,

sorry to say that, but I've got no idea where you can get such a bottle. But if I would live in the USA, my first try would be Sears, Auto-Discount, Pepboys .....

Here in Germany I'm working in a wholesale for car spare parts and all of the oil bottles we sell are different to the one used in BSG.

So long

Dietrich
