i love the fact that they introduce new predators with different looks to the mix, the " Bad Bloods " are exactly what the Predator Franchise needed. I don't think that limiting the Predator to a standard look is fair. I honestly loved all the designs even if some of the movies sucked. I hope that this movie does well and brings us more movies in the future.

I do think its weak to use the P1 as a plot device to make the new Preds look cool if that is the case, but I definitely have wanted to see a Pred fight a Pred since 1987. The more spines that get ripped out, the better. I might not want it to come out of you know who, but so be it.
However - As someone who wants nothing more than to be a concept artist, I am underwhelmed by the overall designs. The Bio's especially. I am totally for injecting new life and design into this universe, it would get stale and boring if you didn't. I just don't get why they didn't push the designs further. I am also not blaming the concept artists, either, they have no say whatsoever regarding what makes it into the final film. If you have the chance to reinvent something that is already awesome, it better be pretty damn impressive.
Then again, they aren't making this film for us, they are making it for a wide audience, and that audience couldn't tell you the dimensions for every Bio ever made, spend half of their life savings on costumes and props, and burn the midnight oil day after day after day fabricating suits. I want this movie to be one of the biggest of the summer, if it bombs it will be that much harder to make another one. I don't know about you guys, but I want to see full scale Predator war on film. Do I think I could do better with the designs? Maybe; I don't know until I see the original concepts that didn't make it in. I actually don't hate the BSP's face, It's just not what I imagined for a BSP. And that's the issue, everyone has their own idea of what they want to see and you just can't please everyone.
I am still gonna be there opening day wide eyed and full of excitment; hell, I'll probably take the day off and see it twice. It will be epic, there will be carnage, and I am looking forward to being scared of a Predator again.

dont get me wrong the first original predator is a great character and will always be iconic. But i don't want to see in every movie the same pred.
If you don't like the new idea than go look the first movie, but are you guys seriously expecting that they will make the original predator apear over and over again?
i also think many people say it just sucks because it isn't made by Stan Winston(RIP), but he and his studio are not the onlyone that can make a great looking predator(with a different design).

You have to be able to poke fun and laugh at about it. Heck look at the P1 - killed by a falling log??? If I say that out loud and realize how silly it sounds I'm led to believe that the writers ran short on time and decided to kill the Pred quickly with a tree and hope we would forget about how stealthy and agile the Predator really is.

I was hesitant when I saw they were making a sequal to predator. But after seeing several of the previews and reading about the story I am actually kinda anticipating this movie!

Right, and the P2 got waxed with is own smart disc by Detective Murtaugh; its probably a good thing Martin Riggs wasn't in the house, 'cause he probably would have started **** with all the Lost hunters and try to roundhouse kick Hippie or sniper the Elder from a mile out because he was having a 'Nam flashback, and then wondered how Mr. Joshua ended up alive and then died again by getting cut in half, and Riggs would especially try to figure out why when he was cut in half, his top half FLOATED IN MID AIR...
That would confuse anyone, even a Jedi knight like William Wallace. But at least the cyborg clone Ellen Ripley was there to explain that its all good, because knowledge is power and power is hilarious.

ok! what the **** happened while i was at work, well BENSIN found out the hard way what happens to the only reason they wanted to see it to begin with and got a whole mess of people upset.
spoilers were not entirely used, therefore once again ruining yet another big part of it for people who didn't know.
some had a laugh, some had a cry, and some damn well might as well die! from what i'm hearing.
now dammit guys, we got a very minimal amount of time left before we can actually make and educated response about this movie, and i think way too many people are getting themselves out, before they were even in, which is sad for my pred bros to me.
i've told myself (in vein) that i would try to not let myself see tooooo much before it comes out, and even though i read the script months ago ( and LOVED IT) and we got all the pics a couple weeks ago (revealing just about every main visual thing that was not yet known, which i'm still pist we couldn't just wait! and you can say " well you didn't have to look! but you know damn well i did especially by the approach some members took posting them)
can we not see (for those of us that it is ruined for now) that we did this to ourselves? we insisted that nothing stay secret, now, info that i knew a long time ago, and have tried my hardest not to talk about for the sake of those who opted to not read the script, has just been thrown about loosely with no remorse all because P1's cousin eventually loses! yep no point in spoilers or not saying anything now! from what i gathered he puts up one damn good fight before eventually succumbing to a "SUPER PREDATOR" why are we suddenly not used to every pred we ever knew dying? most of them by ******* HUMANS so WHY NOT A PREDATOR? why don't someone with enough balls just copy and paste the whole ******* script out in the next post eh? come on, wtf.
now i know it's coming down to whether or not RR is putting the "P1S" in there to destroy his rep or praise it, but dammit guys, everything dies! i say the p1s getting killed by black is far more respectable, especially considering how he ends up in that fight anyway, than a goddamn log! or his own weapon for ****** sake. are we listening to ourselves here?
so please no one take offense, any of you, i know you're heated and i totally understand, but for the last time, the p1s is not there just to get kicked around and RR can say "my preds are better than yours stan!" and IMO it's silly to think that, so please calm down, i really think you'll feel better watching it all unfold, you just have to try to keep perspective. and no i haven't seen it yet but i read the same script as yall, and i am more pred crazy than most the world, but i didn't scream and cry and swear off the movie when i read the p1s's end, i said " awe ****, that sucks, but i wonder what that'll look like!" and moved the **** on to the rest of the great story, i just don't think some of you are able to see what's happening, not that you're dumb or anything, you just may not have the openmindedness that you thought you had, cause IMO this shouldn't be that hard. i thought it was ******** that chopper went picking on a little girl (unarmed, well maybe a damn ice-pickaxe, can't recall) but basically helpless, and an alien handed his balls to him. that! i coulda went on for days about(cause it shouldn't have happened when it comes to the code) but it wasn't worth it, he was careless, the alien got him.
one last time, and i'll go back and read it again if i have to, but reading the script the fight was so in favor of P1 that i had just thought that he was about to win!, now whether HE got careless or not, i don't know, but black finally got him, but only after literally getting kicked the **** around for a bit, and that's the end of script talk.
for those who are enraged, i do not mean to belittle your emotions, they are all fine by me, i just hate to think that any single one of you would actually swear off this new, and very promising movie because of a misconception, or your own personal preference, sure i would've loved for the P1 to win, but to me that would've made for a pretty pointless new movie, overall.
you can have your gripes about the designs and so forth, i am diggin' every bit of it, it helps knowing that the P1, P2 (and wolf) are still there in their own respective movies and cannot be touched by RR, but like was said before, ( by me, and then later some others) that i'm sure it took all three of them to string him up, and the battle i read was ******* EPIC but almost had to end that way.
POINT BEING: please chill i'm sorry if i offended anyone, i just got a bit heated myself, cause sometimes i feel like i'm one of the only ones that can except what's happening here, and i, on a side note, WANT MORE MOVIES! DON'T WORRY, I DO BELIEVE THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE END OF THE BADBLOODS BUT THEY AREN'T JUST WHERE THE PRED WORLD GOES FROM HERE, IT'S A SEPARATE STORY JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHERS! and unfortunately for some, happened to have a P1 style pred in there. but i sincerely don't believe we'll just never see another new, yet traditional looking pred ever again, they know they can't do that, i think they did change the design so much, just for the sake of this almost one time deal, if you can dig it.
but if the pred on the pole was a "new, yet traditional looking" predator, then there would have been too much to focus on, you know? of course RR wanted us to have the chance to admire his preds, but yes still give us a wink if not a big ******* HUG by letting us see our beloved original in some new action, one last time. but i think it was very smart.
i really hope this damn movie doesn't divide us rather than give us more to rave about, i can't believe it! i don't want a divided lair, do you? you cant help who you love, but some people (predators) you'll just have to deal with, i guess...and if you let them maybe you can someday love them too (hopefully)

I won't even get started on AVP and how dumb it was, especially how Gill/Chopper bit the bullet. AVP-R I didn't think was the greatest movie on the premise but I enjoyed it all because of the Wolf Predator - but I won't swerve off the topic I want to address:

It's just a discussion for better or worse - if people are going to get pissed off at me, hate me, get annoyed with me, send me death threats or poop in my food - I don't know what to tell you guys. I can only be honest - I hate this movie to the same extremes that some people love it and that seems to be a tough pill to swallow. I said it before I'll say it again, to those who are hyped for this movie, I hope it's great, I hope you enjoy it and more power to you.

Yes, but you can't dangle a chocolate cake in front of a fat kid and expect him to say "no thanks - I'll just have the salad and dry bread with no butter"
