I just thought of somthing I'm not pissed that the P1 wana be gets killed I mean would we be pissed if another random pred gets killed? What's the difference because it's not the predator from the first movie just some look alike predator.

******* SPOILER BLACK OUTS GUYS! *****, I know to expect some basic spoilery info in here, but that's pretty much giving away the climactic battle. If this is true I'm going to be ******* super pissed. Have some basic ******* courtesy for people who want to see trailers, pics etc but NOT KNOW THE WHOLE ******* ENDING.
You see the drop down bars at the top of the reply box? One of them has the selection 'insert spoiler' and it then blacks out the text so you have to highlight it to read it. It's not ******* rocket science.

That's not the point though...While I understand that it's not 'the' P1, it's still the farthest thing from a tribute. Stan was pretty disappointed with AVP, but I bet this would probably annoy the hell out of him, and that's supposed to be at tribute?

Eh that's true Eh I don't know how I feel about the tribute predator inthe movie they shoulda just left it out if he wanted to tribute Stan he shoulda had the Lost Hunters drop in after words... maybe the P1 look alike is their P1 look alike he suited up for a hunt and

they could have done any old Predator, but they had to basically take a **** on iconic history. No respect at all. I'm sure a lot of people are thinking 'it's just a movie' but I have to disagree with that, the very existence of this site is a testament to that and the huge following of an iconic creature. The past two movies were an 'F u' but this is adding insult to injury. I read the 'Winston Effect' and from what I read I know that Stan was really proud and close to the work produced by SWS. He even stated that he doesn't make suits or creatures, he makes 'characters' for film.
So, yep, screw these guys and their movie. I never thought I could actually respect AVP, but I think that's happened. I'm going to go ice skating in hell.

i see your point, but maybe they do this to go to the new kind of predators, in this movie they show both but i think in the next movie they will only show the new preds, so this is some kind of going on to the new breed.

No, I didn not! hehehe..Hell looking at the trailers and pics were enough. And really, I shouldn’t have done that! Damn the tone of you post here has me feeling a bit dejected…apprehensive.
So, I take it that the inevitable concerning the p1s is going to happen! That’s “F’ up. Oh well, hopefully the film will be ok regardless…I’ll either break down and cry uncontrollable tears when p1s gets taken out or tear up the theater in a pred style rage , lol…either way I’m still going to see it.

No it’s not the P1, but some kin of his, not kin by way of direct blood line, but kin in the sense of being of the same the race or “kind” as the P1, maybe even the same tribe who knows.

It was my understanding that these "Predators gone wrong" were just a one time thing. If there are going to be any more installments into the Predator franchise after this movie, and they're all just "Mr. Blacks," you can ******* have it.
I'm more than positive there are concept artists in Hollywood that can come up with designs more "Predator" than Crabby Sackface. I'm sure Crash McCreery could whip up something cool. Design wise, his head is way too busy. There's no way the average viewer could translate all of that detail in his head.
Alot of you seem to think that it's going to look better on screen. How? You already know what he looks like, and I don't buy that his goofiness will be deadened by seeing it on the big screen. And holy ****, there's the "PREDATORS" trailer for the one-thousandth time today. Ok, back on topic..
Well said. They could have used any old Predator design- or, even come up with their own; but no, they used the likeness of the original Predator. Regardless of what anyone says, people are only going to see the original Predator. I don't care how many times you state that "it's not... it's not the same Predator from the first movie. It's just a member of his clan." Infact, I think they'd have been better off with coming up with an original design for Mr. Black fodder. But no, they chose to tie it in with the original character and an even more ironic death. I'm just glad that I'm not the only person on this forum who isn't afraid to spill his guts, and say how he feels about the new movie. Ya know, instead of just lapping it up like a prisoner that's just been given his ration of bread and water because the last two servings were unsatisfactory.

Why? if it does then this is likely to be the last time we see a pred on the big screen with any kind of meaningful budget atleast. This one has decent actors and could actually do well, despite the fact im one of the boards moaners and dont really like the changes made (Mr blacks face makes me want to barf!! and the falconer bio... errrrghhh) i really hope this film does incredibly well at the box office. If it does then we'l likely see more films featuring bigger names and with bigger backing and what not which can only be a good thing for us surely?? And as stated above, these "super i pod, wonder preds" will hopefully be a one off and will hopefully be ripped apart in this film anyway allowing the next movie to do us proud

Bensin, what you're doing now is trolling. You've made it clear how much you hate this movie. Now instead of ******** on US and this thread, how about you make your comments a little more constructive instead of coming across as a hater? You've made your point on the movie and how your feelings were hurt when you read what happens to the "Classic" Predator...now move on or refrain from your insulting repetitive one-liners.
Rob, I don't feel like a prisoner lapping up my rations. I disagree with the people who think Mr. Black is a horrible Predator.
He's ******* bad ass. the previous two attempts (AVP and AVPR) were partially insulting or entirely insulting for anyone who was a fan of P1 and P2. In AVP they tried to do battle with Aliens. That went badly. They were piss poor half ass attempts at "renewing" the Predator line. It was either too dark, story sucked, or the designs weren't appreciated by the majority.
In PREDATORS, they are going with Pred VS Human VS Berserker Preds. Humans VS Predators is a pretty one sided battle. How many humans does it take to kill a Predator? A whackload of them because the Predator is larger, stronger and has more impressive weapons. So a movie with Pred vs whatever type of humans means they will need a bunch of humans in order to kill it. A Predator vs another Predator is something I'm willing to pay to see. Now add to that Predators with no code of honor who only want to hunt for sport without the additional baggage of morals. That cartoon parody of how Predator should have ended (with the humans throwing their weapons down and the Pred couldn't attack them) is funny, but remember that the Predator is traditionally obligated by that code that won't allow him to kill unarmed people.
Now look at the Bad Blood Predators? For those of you who never read the Dark Horse Bad Blood comics, let me show you:
The Bad Blood is what PREDATORS is all about. The fact of the matter is that some of you feel as though the beloved P1 is being shat and pissed on and thrown into the gutter to rot and die. I'm sorry you put the original "Classic" Predator on such a high pedestal that there can be no other. If this one gets his backbone ripped out by a Berserker, then thats too bad, but you know hes gonna put up one helluva fight.
I don't know, maybe there is something about seeing an iconic character like the P1 recreated on the screen and possibly dying that scares some people. Maybe to some of you, its like the P1 is dying all over again, and the emotions are too much handle lol - I don't bloody care - we get to see some Predators on the big screen again! It's just a character!
Don't get me wrong, I love the P1 too. He's still my favorite one to draw and paint. But this movie brings about a whole new turn of events. One that will be ******* epic. We've joked around for years about how cool a movie with Predators fighting each other would be awesome on the big screen. Then we recalled the Bad Blood comics. We said "**** wouldn't that be cool??!" Now we have a chance to see it on the big screen and some of you are getting your panties in a knot because the design of Mr Black is too dramatic??? There just is no pleasing some people...
I say go into it with an open mind and enjoy it for what it is: a movie. 12 more days...I can't wait!

I think that is all you really needed to say. It was a great arguement but that first part there is what really makes it. No matter how cool this movie is there will be some that are not pleased and say it sucked.
I am super ready to see this. I dont like Mr. Blacks design, wish they would have added the crwon is all, but if he is a bad blood and this one is all about the bad bloods then so be it I can take a one off with them as the main preds to introduce them and set up more films if it does well. I just hope if thats the case then in the next film we have a more normal looking pred as the main pred just because i love the look of the non "super" preds.

I agree with PredatrHuntr. The classic predator in the upcoming film is just a character, and had nothing to do with disrespecting anyone if the classic predator gets killed in this film. And we have to accept the new hunters as well even though a lot of people doesn't like how they look like unmasked.
I think its a good thing that they introduced these new types of Predators, it somehow expands the story of our beloved hunters. That they have a complex society just like ours and also have wars within their race which is cool since this can open up to more Predator films in the future covering their way of life aside from being hunters.
