PREDATORS - MOVIE INFO

Seen these guys over at Sideshow Freaks forum.

I want to see him at his prime, because we all know how he dies. PREDATOR was such an awesome movie that inspired me, but it was at the tail end of his journey. I want to see just how much of a badass he was before some Austrian dropped a log on his head.

Yikes! This is like the second time you have mentioned something to the effect of the P1S being brought back only to be used as the vehicle by which the new preds demonstrate their all around supposed superiority.

I must admit that the P1S is the main reason I’m so excited about the Predators film and I only hope what you’re saying is just mere speculation.


I can gather from the pics that at one point in the film things aren’t going well for him. He’s bound stripped, beaten and bleeding… but surely he won’t be totally dogged in the film. I continue to hold on to my hopes that the P1S will fair well and kick some ass…..at least one ass, hopefully

there will also be a unmasked BSP figure, because in a interview with one of the sculptors from NECA, he told what he tought of the new face design.

Assumptions and bashing the movie wich isnt even released is typical. There can be some disagreements on the design but atleast wait to see it on the bigscreen and how it then turns out.

But all this about bio's being weird or gauntlets being way too big. I welcome a different take on the predators aslong as they still remain close to the original setup. So who knows what the story will unfold about those super preds etc...
 
I agree, wholeheartedly with what BENSIN has said, and with what Sabres has just said. The new designs don't do much for me; except for the body suits and paint work. Some detailed stuff there. The helmet designs are.. eh. The "Falconers" helmet looks like an ADI leftover from the original AVP concepts. I'm not disrespecting ADI by any means, but what I am saying is that the helmet just doesn't get me. The Mr. Black Super Duper helmet is alright, and I can tell all the thought went into it. As far as the "Flusher" Predators helmet goes, it just seems like an after thought. "Eh, ****.. well, we don't have enough time. Just throw some **** together." POOF!!! Alright, enough of that... here is the real reason I am not too big on the new movie.

Sure, change is necessary, but the ONLY reason I'm going to see PREDATORS is because of the inclusion of the P1 design. I could really care less about "Robert Rodriguez Presents" because I wasn't much of a fan before, and frankly this Resevoir Dogs naming pattern is starting to piss me off. Duuuuuhhhhrrrr.... Mr. Black, Mr. Green (sounds better than Flusher), and Mr. suckmyballs. So I wonder how he'll work Quentin Tarantino in as a cameo. You all know he will. That's ******* annoying.

well, what i was thinking when reading this was: just watch the movie again. But i see what you are meaning, it would be cool to see the anytime pred at his prime. ANd i also think you are right with the way they want to sshow that the new preds are stronger.

but it is possible they just did this to please the fans.

about the design,

i really dont see a problem with the tusks, you say it looks like they just made something in a really small time, but i think it was the intention to make him look like that. It needs to look like a predator that has been fighting for many years and doesn't have all his armor anymore, so he uses random stuff to make himself look like a predator you don't f*k with. But this is just some theory of me :(

and i personally love the BSP,

i like the armor and skin details they put in there, the jawbone is just there so the average crowd can see the difference between the classic and him when they are both masked.

and the flusher................
this is really a love or hate thing, i think it looks cool and new, because i don't like to see 4 preds with the same kind of bio.

but after all its your own opinion that matters.

I got two thoughts on the above.

1st, as far as I know, it's not a definitive yet that the Predator gets his ass kicked for all of the new movie. What I would do is I'd set the mofo free in the end and let him run rampant on the new breed, like a 75 minutes struggle to reach for the one weapon that can end it all. They may outpred him 3 to one and that's how they caught him, but are no real match in a one-on-one close quarters fight. Rodriguez' buildup that has been mentioned above as a dick length comparison could just as well lead to showing us how much of a mean cuss the old Pred really is. I'd like that.

2nd, it's been discussed here for ages what exactly it is that makes the Predator so great, what made the 1st movie so good. I think we've all agreed it's the mystery behind him. That and the fact that he was actually the bad guy (not what we nerds now make of him) resulted in him having very little screen time. I like to compare it to Darth Maul, the ONLY good thing I've seen in the prequels of Star Wars. A bad ************, and evil omen of things to come, but not the tiresome, stretched out, three movies' worth of runtime fiend. Also a bit like Jet Li in Lethal Weapon 4, whose fight scenes were all the more impressive for how little there were and how short they were. That being said, I think it's fair enough to say we'll *never* see anything like Predator again. Pitting him up against Nazis (Nazis, how original) won't change that, as much as I can see the appeal of placing him in Earth's history, like letting him be a Gladiator in the Coliseum. Making the Predator the main character with the most screen time will result in a bad The Rock movie (the wrestler, not Connery/Cage).


I don't like the new face design.
 
Ok i know ADI lost the contract for the new predators movie and that robert rodriguez decided to go with KNB fx and see what they could produce. I love knb fx but i have one complaint... Doesent the new Mr. Black bio look like evil ash?

I am not all that keen on the new design, I guess I am so used to the Original designs of the Preds. But I am not a fan of KNB, but I am going to give the movie a chance. The anticipation of a new movie got me going then to see the way off the mark designs was unsettling. So, I am going to see it with a open mind and give it a shot. BTW, why is there like almost no ads on TV or a trailer at the Cinema ?

Now theres a thought, i never EVER thought about the reason P1 was there, the how the why the what.

If it did take 3 or more ( maybe he off'd a another couple of the tubbies before he got caught ) to catch him, then that is in NOOOOOOOO way saying these are the new preds and they Usurp your old P1, Its bascially saying the P1 was a bad mofo and even these had their hands full capturing him.

i like the idea of him getting free and issuing some smack down, before expiring somehow.

Somehow did not think of any of the above , shame on me.

just didnt cross my mind they MAY actually portray the P1 as better than tinky winkey and his buddies.
 
what is that on super blacks shoulder?i know its his canon but is that what the back of it looks like? as the front of it from what i've seen is split into 2,or can it be detachable to upgrade if needed?..

Those two on the right look like bobble heads!

Hopefully we get to see some out of the package pictures of the P1 soon, looks like they're going to have variants with different heads.

Wow! Those new NECA Preds are SICK! Unfortunately for me today is a sad day. But for one of you fellow hunters out there or maybe someone you know it could be a great day. Today I will be listing my entire collection for sale. Please check it out in the shopping forum under buy sell and trade.
