Five bucks says you're still gonna see it, BENSIN. It's one new design and all of a sudden, the movie will suck? Lemme ask you this: up until the new pictures were leaked, how hyped were you for the film, hmm? And you do need to see a movie to know that "nothing" about it appeals to you. You've maybe seen one aspect of it that's turned you off.

But by all means, your opinion. And, if the movie does turn out well, your loss.

Hey I just read an article of the lastest edition of FANGORIA magazine and in the international trailer where you see the Jail Bird running for his life in the jungle and finally getting caught. The thing that captures him is called "The Ram Runner" I don't know why they call it that, but based on the names of the Three Preds it sounds non-predator to me.

Regarding not having to see the movie, it's a radical change in my opinion and I don't care for it. When they start changing the great taste of Pepsi (or your drink of choice) by adding piss to it, make sure you try it before you knock it. I on the other hand, have no appeal in piss flavored Pepsi, and I won't need to try it to know I'm not going to like it. Not being insulting, just throwing that example out there, not every one has to 'try' or 'see' something in full to know it's not going to rev their motor.

I just find it funny that when someone has a negative opinion on something, even if it be a straight forward, non-malicious opinion, every one goes into a frenzy. I'm not knocking the director or the talent, just what they created, which I think blows - and they could have done something a lot better. People act as if the Predator isn't 'cool' enough, it's an alien hunter, you can still do 'Predator' and not go all crazy with it. That 'super black' Predator looks like a clown, literally, that's what he looks like. Clown Predator - with clown make up.

I heard all this before, when I said AVP was going to be garbage, and let's face it, 9 out of 10 people found the movie laughable.

While i agree the look of the superblack looks pretty bad ,

( if they had kept a rough head shape we were used to and then used the mr black colour scheme blue/red/grey, or the head shape we see with P1 colours, it may have been less of a shock )

But they went all out for a change, bah. having said that i am still hopefull that he may only get his mug shot on screen for a few minutes, and the other 90 odd we get to watch, will far far far outweigh the messup of one pred face.

and this dude isnt as bad as scar anyway at least hes not loved up and trying to hump lex's leg.

I disagree. Yes, it looks different, but it's still clearly a predator at the core. I compared the Predator to the humans before, and most preds we've seen to date just were the "middle-eastern" culture, now we'll see some "Asians" for a change.

That crap doesn't even look like Predator, sorry if it offends you guys that I think the designs suck. I have no interest in the movie because of that, I think it sucks and it has no appeal to me.

Did i say it was NOT a predator ???? the word you are looking for is NO.

I said a few pages back nature has alot of diversity in it, and gave sharks as a example.

I love the look of the White shark, but dislike the Megamouth shark.

I am cool with change, Having said that i do not like the change ( which is my opinion) of the head.

obviously its a predator of sorts. ( stevie wonder going past on horse back could see that )

but i do not like the extreme change in the pictures, and AGAIN have said previously, that it COULD end up looking alot better when moving on screen.

Im all up for the whole deformed predator thing. I don't think its physical shape bugs me, Like Usurper mentioned i think the color scheme for the head doesn't fit with its body. Be better if his face was black and leathery like the rest of his skin.

All that said, I saw a commercial for the movie, first time I saw it and it looks great, (that's probably because the Preds' faces were covered by their masks.) especially those dog things running. Still seems way over the top though - anyway, you guys enjoy the flick, I'll keep my thoughts to myself unless I'm with the majority in agreement.

I know that there are people that aren't going to like it and I understand why.

But, let's talk about what/why you don't like it. I'm up for that type of conversation.

I'm just not in the mood for the "I hate this movie, it sucks...the end" kind of thing.

well i don't know about you lot, but i think we deserve a decent pred movie after the last POS, the only decent thing in that movie was the wolf pred, this one actually looks like a decent story with decent actors in it.
The new pred design isn't that bad, i love the colouring on it, and the bio's and suits look the part to, the last trailer looked great lets hope it is

I agree, wholeheartedly with what BENSIN has said, and with what Sabres has just said. The new designs don't do much for me; except for the body suits and paint work. Some detailed stuff there. The helmet designs are.. eh. The "Falconers" helmet looks like an ADI leftover from the original AVP concepts. I'm not disrespecting ADI by any means, but what I am saying is that the helmet just doesn't get me. The Mr. Black Super Duper helmet is alright, and I can tell all the thought went into it. As far as the "Flusher" Predators helmet goes, it just seems like an after thought. "Eh, ****.. well, we don't have enough time. Just throw some **** together." POOF!!! Alright, enough of that... here is the real reason I am not too big on the new movie.

The only way that they could show that "their" Predators were the most awesome was to bring back the original design, and then kill him off. Wait.. no, what I meant to say was that they bring back the original creature, tie him to a pillar- stripped of his armor - then eventually kill him. Why? They strip him down, and then kill him. That doesn't sound very much like a "tribute" to me. Sounds more like "Our ***** better, but here's the old ****... just to show you how cool our **** is." No. Maybe I'm just too sensitive, and I read way too far into things, but it still doesn't sit right with me.

Oh, but who wants to see the same thing over again? I've actually thought about this, and I've come to the conclusion that I DO. Ya know what, I really want to see the first Predator back on screen again actually winning, and kicking the **** out of everything. I would really like to see him inserted into different periods of human history. I would like to see him punching Indians and skinning Nazi's. I want to see him at his prime, because we all know how he dies. PREDATOR was such an awesome movie that inspired me, but it was at the tail end of his journey. I want to see just how much of a badass he was before some Austrian dropped a log on his head.

Sure, change is necessary, but the ONLY reason I'm going to see PREDATORS is because of the inclusion of the P1 design. I could really care less about "Robert Rodriguez Presents" because I wasn't much of a fan before, and frankly this Resevoir Dogs naming pattern is starting to piss me off. Duuuuuhhhhrrrr.... Mr. Black, Mr. Green (sounds better than Flusher), and Mr. suckmyballs. So I wonder how he'll work Quentin Tarantino in as a cameo. You all know he will. That's ******* annoying.

lol, no worries sabes, I didn't take offense, just wanted to explain and clarify.

I think that certain concepts can work as toys, or in comic books, or even our beloved garage kits, but I think in this case they overdid it. Like I was saying before, the Predator as is, is an intergalactic alien with a hunter culture, he looks cool as hell by default. It's almost like when someone takes a classy, high end sports car, say...maybe an Aston Martin, and puts a giant spoiler on the back of it and paints it in hot pink. The car is incredible as is and can be modified tastefully, that's my biggest gripe - just too radical. So, in my mind, if I go and support this, then it justifies them making another movie with stuff that turns me off.

The whole thing with the Predator homeworld, (I heard it in the trailer, that they're on the Predator homeworld, or one of their worlds...) that's another thing that bugged me. The more you reveal about a character who has an appeal bolstered by his/her/its mysterious and unknown origins, the less interesting it becomes. On that note, diversity is cool, but not when none of the movies agree with each other about what the Preds are like, and every one comes up with their own clan, and runs in their own direction with nothing to keep them glued together. Looking at this from a third person point of view, I'm being really picky, but hey, I'm a fanboy of the old-school, what can I say?

Rob that's a good point too, with each movie, every one going in their own direction, they want to have 'THE' best Predator. My Predator can piss farther than yours, etc...

If I ever do a Predator movie I'm going to make my Predator living tissue over metal endoskeleton...actually, screw that my Predator is going to be a mimetic poly alloy over metal endoskeleton.

If these inbreds are a new door for even more predator designs, I'm all for it. I like that KNB dared to take another direction, it's sure as hell no Winston (Even the classic isn't as natural as the classic, but it's close. KNB just has this tendency of overdoing things a bit it seems).

i agree with rob, not liking the face designs, the bodies look ok but not digging the single gauntlet blade, the original pred shoulda come out on top if u ask me and kicked blacks ass
