PREDATORS - MOVIE INFO

 damn! that was a nice chunk of interesting pics!

ya the dreads are a bit longer, but like you said rob, this isn't supposed to be the same exact pred, i can appreciate the subtle differences, bigger lower mandibles, i guess making it to where they gotta make bottom jawline of his bio bigger too (eh..) but awesome pics! very surreal indeed! thanks again sabres! you're lucky to have seen that first hand buddy!

you know if they got all these nice pics of classic pred i'm sure they have just as many of the production of the other predators  i doubt anybody'd be dumb enough to drop the ball on properly documenting such a thing these days, i just can't wait till it finally comes out, and they can finally let all the cats out of there bags, and then a plethora of predator close ups, concept art of the armor and all these new weapons and things that are supposed to be in this movie!! and then toy makers like neca and hot toys can finally start showing us what some of the figures from the movie look like! cannot wait to have a HOT TOYS "BERZERKER" pred next to my others!! and their armor is all different enough from one another to not feel stupid for getting em all :)

i am not one of the lucky ones that has seen the book from AVPR, but i'll definitely hunt this one down, if they make it that is :D damn! i can't believe we have another "year of the predator" upon us!! waited far too long for this!! getting a little too excited here ;)

but seeing what they've done for the original, i am almost willing to except just about anything else in there, bring on the predator vs. predator!!

Sabres - how did you manage to take those pics without getting caught?! Or were they allowing pictures to be taken? Any why the hell didn't you get a seat dead center so that the pictures wouldn't be at an angle? Next time. maybe try a little harder or don't take pictures at all buddy!

HAHAHAHA just keeding of course - you took some great pics there bro!

Just noticed a small thing: the squares in the netting are a lot smaller than the original P1. This netting reminds me of AVP.

Something about the smaller squares that reminds me of fishnet stockings. I prefer the wider netting like P1...oh well just a small thing

I was actually noticing that the Bio looks a little bit like the Scar bio w/o the clan symbol. I think you should have done video IMO that would have been cool if you could've I know it must have been difficult though to get these. Nice work :)

THe bio bothers me to. Wish they could of used one from HCG. Or even went back to the Stan Molds an used one from their.

EDIT: I hope the pics of the mouth opening, was just testing range of movement, as it looked AVP wide which is too wide.

Im also blah about the actual paint up on the skin and head, but im guessing it will look better when in movie mode :D

I fear the same thing about the mouth, but in the trailer it also looked AVP wide :)
yep, imo the paintjob looks fan made and it looks......nothing like the classic predator, dont know if its because of the small suits??
Still looks great, and much better then AVP, but IMO they only look 80%

Some points id like to bring up, and NO i am not poo pooing the movie on screen shots, but i also refuse to look through rose tinted glasses , JUST because we have a new Predator movie, which for the record , i THINK will be a huge improvement on the AVP series, and HOPEFULLY jump start the franchise and give us at least a couple more Predator films.

I mentioned to Rob in pm the other day that the Bio looked like a de glyph'd Scar bio, as the shape is off slightly, so i am glad i am not the only one who thought that lol.

now for the skin paint up from what we can see, 1st of all , i still think it will look better on film, and as Rob said to me, MAYBE they spent most of the time and budget on the NEW preds.

I HOPE NOT.

I mean the old ( so called 8 track Pred ) may only have a small amount of screen time......... So????? how long did the LOST HUNTERS have? and look at the detail and work that went into them.
What i mean is, if you are going to say these preds are a upgraded IPOD version, well MAKE THEM better, not make the original look worse than he was to prove your point.

now again before i get rolly eyes and people claiming im doom and gloom , i am NOT, in my eyes , corners are being cut, and i hope they do not show up in the film, but then again , maybe the screen shot sabres took do not show the pred in hisbest light ( but they are HUGELY welcome )
I mean we are a niche bunch here, so we are going to look at the predators themselves more than normal joe public.

I just do not like to see comments made by the new filmmakers, likening the OLD SCHOOL type pred to the original P1, when he only strikes a passing resemblence, and is basically a recast of him.

anyway, just wanted to moan about that

roll on Predators so i can have my mind put at rest :)

I also don't like the way the bio looks. To me it looks like a recasted scar bio the way the bottom jaw flares out the way it does. Now for the head :) where do I begin, is it me or does it resemble a Grusderk mask? When the mouth is closed it just looks goofy I can't quite pin point it but there is something definitely odd about it, but what I don't understand is that they have the Sideshow Bust sitting right there. So with all the professional artists there working on this movie they couldn't get the look closer to the original head?

Yes...because that's what we all want...an absolute carbon copy of the original Predator.

Every Pred should look EXACTLY the same in EVERY movie...EVER! :)

Sometimes I wish I hadn't posted the pics. It's truly ridiculous the way some people think about these movie creatures.
I can understand being passionate about them, I'm that way about Alien. But this thing is damn good looking and a HUGE improvement over what we've seen in other films.

I never said it wasn't a improvement, and I never said that all the preds should look exactly the same. But the way they are running off at the mouth about how him to look like the classic predator from the first movie and that they wanted it to look like the first one then they should have at least made the head look a little more like the original. That is there own words to make it look like the original, does the body look like the original yes. Does the head and bio look like the original NO, I'm not saying it's bad (maybe a little goofy looking because of the mandibles but it's still damn impressive.) Now if they would have never said that this pred was suppose to look like the original then I wouldn't have anything bad to say about it.

Well according to Sabres Pm, from last night , he said the skin actually looked alot better to the eye, and was not fully finished. hes pretty sure itll look good on screen, which is all we can ask for.

As like Unforgiven said, the reason it was brought up, is because THEY keep banging on about the original looking style/type pred being there, then take short cuts on the look.

They probably should have said , it was a SLIGHT nod to the original pred and left it at that.

either way , its now one day closer :)

The problem with bringing in a Predator that looks almost the same as the one from the 1st movie is that its confused so many people.

-is it the SAME Predator from the 1st movie but taking place before P1?
-is it the SAME Predator from the 1st movie because who is so bad-ass that he survived a freaking nuclear explosion?!
-is it just a similar one from the same clan that looks the same?
-is it just a simple nod to the original movie to show the difference between the original and the "new" super Preds?

I think the third and fourth options could both apply but the problem is the people who think this is the very same Pred from the 1st movie. A "nod" to the original Pred has been misinterpreted by too many people. Gah. Even if that WERE the case, (which it could be because the blast marks on the armor are the same) it would be gay and dumb IMHO.

This has been confirmed...it absolutey IS NOT the Pred from the first movie.

This is just a nod to that version of the Predator.

And I don't know where you're getting the "same blast marks" bit from.

It has NO blast marks on it's mask...

Nice looking poster....

As for the P1 pred, well, it doesn't look like the P1 to me, but it could pass as a sibling etc, lets wait and see how its explaind in the film. God i hope the preds don't have wide AVP style mouths though...... Barrfff!!!
