Is it my imagination or is the Pred's head HUGE !!

They may also just look big because there not wearing any armor from the few pics I seen. Kinda like a football player with a helmet on and no shoulder pads.

Maybe the mucosa membrane in their mouth is embedded with thousands of chemoreceptor cells or something? Maybe they have a VNO organ inside their mouth somewhere?

You're right and I know exactly what you‘re trying to say. But anyway, I’ve always believed that the pred mouth is one huge sensory organ. I think they have a highly developed vomeronasal organ that’s located inside the mouth.
But hopefully the movie will shed some light on the issue for us..hopefully.
