Problem is, most of us live and breathe Predator, so we come up with concepts that are much more like the old Predators... I'm looking forward to see more detailed pictures before I pass judgement.

The Bios look very Tribal than techno giving us that Old School Feeling.
We still haven't seen the Super Predator - Can't wait till that leaks out

I get the feeling these maybe the so called super black preds, the markings are more heavy black wise than on previous preds.
Hopefully not though, be nice to have a surprise or 3
Also at this stage im wondering how many actual Predator Heads we will see.
Man i hope they are good.

Doh! - I went back as far as pg. 43 didn't see 42.
Oh I've read the disclaimer on rottentomatoes and they've said the internet is full of negativity for the Predators design.
So far I've read some pretty positive and excited hype from us here at least.
I still think there is hope for this Franchise and I don't care about those damn geeks (who think they know it all about this
Predator character). They can diss all they want I'm still gonna go watch it in full gear.

********, what are they supposed to do rehash the same bios and suits we have all seen time and time again, this movie is about fresh new ideas and new costume concepts..thats why these guys are making the movies and all of us here are bitching about how crap we think the bios and costumes look...thank **** none of us on the lair are in charge of this project, lets leave it to the pro's please...
I for one like what im seeing so far and think that this movie will be great, lets be honest alot of u guys are giving out about adrian brody in this movie..how bad i say!!! he is not exactly a b movie actor..lets be happy an oscar nominated actor actually thinks a pred movie script was worthy of his attention...for once

I think a few pics and a script are really not quite enough or praise or condemn a project to completely.
But what I can say is the look and feel of what little has been leaked is pretty cool.
Totally divergent from the linebacker look and feel of the AVP Preds.
Much more like a stealth hunter, which is what most of us are hoping for.
I am pleased that they are really limiting the use of CGI in the characters.
I'm very excited about this film.

A few pics of the set is too little to tell how the movie will end up being.
But I am for one, happy to see the designs on the predators and think that they will do a great job with it. To design something new on a thing that so many people have come to love is very hard, and you can never make everyone happy. Many of us here in the lair have own concepts and different designs, so what is really the difference? That these designs will end up on the big screen and ours not? Im just saying, give these people a chance.

The fact they keep harping on about Stans original Predator is a good thing, and hopefully its not only in costume design, but the way the predator moves, as you could have the best suit in the world but move like a pissed giraffe and its gonna look *****.
i hope the suit actors have done their homework
Then if the rumours are true about Brody wanting to sign up for 3 films, we will get a regular fix of preds over the next few years

Well there is no doubt about it...they visit this site regularly. If they say they dont come here for creative material or true fan opinions they are full of ****. To write that article and pretty much repeat all the comments and concerns from this board cant be that much of a coincidence.
Now, as far as the film goes I havent seen anything yet that makes me want to grab the tools and sculpt armor, masks, or anything from this film. The Preds do look pretty good overall but, if I was trying to "reboot the franchise" I would have come to the table a little stronger. Still positive about the film but, a little bummed as well.
PS....we prefer the term "HUSKY" you skinny little twig hunters!!!

I think we are all aware we have little influence of how things go in the movies, and it is indeed being left to the film makers (im not sure how fitting the word pro's is??) but everyone is entitled to an opinion. And from what weve seen so far.... the bio's are rubbish!!! i like the suits though and i for one am looking forward to seeing the film. Remember we on the Lair are the pred geeks, we will be the harshest critics of all and im sure the film makers are here watching this thread fully aware of that fact.
Look on the brightside.... we did get the wolf after those fat useless AVP preds went down so well here perhaps our relentless whining will achieve good things, we'l find out soon i think. I for one think they have all the real goodies locked away out of site, i hope so at least

Well "industry insider" got offended... I'm wondering why rottentomatoes was used as an outlet. Obviously that needed a new account name to say it. The only thing that I really got out of that was that pictures don't mean anything. Well thats great, don't get your skivvies in a bunch. I love candid pictures, especially unofficial ones. It shows people not posed and in a real moment. I've been on a couple movie sets (not Pred) and everything changes depending on the angle, editing and weather or not it matters at all. "Big" is a perspective. I also miss miniatures.
The CGI point in the AVPs were more directed at the Alien character if I'm not mistaken. I can't imagine needing much CGI for something that isn't doing a ton of stunts.
Anyway, like I said, big boned Preds are good by me . And yes that middle one looks like he's in high heels in that shot. No, I don't think he has high heels on... it looks like lifts were used though.
I wonder if those pics violated Taktarovs contract?

I guess if he has shown an interest in doing more films he doesn't get waxed in this one.
