PREDATORS - MOVIE INFO

Has anybody else emailed Fox? Maybe we really should get a film fund going and get it to Rodriguez. Maybe then, they'd realize that fans are willing to do whatever neccessary to get a good Pred film...put it in all the papers, on youtube, etc. and make a big media thing out of it and put on some pressure for them to listen to the fans. Oh well.
 
Damn haven't seen this thread in a while.Funny thing was while I was camping all I said when we where a mile away from the car to go I just yelled GET TO DA CHOPPA!And most people at the camp **** even a counsler was a fan of that ugly mofo.But lets think on this a tad bit.

Predator3 is coming and there's probably nothing we can do about it.But also Yeah both AVP's kinda sucked but.Without them the fans would say where the hell is AVP?So if we never had the movies would we really have this thread on this forum?NO!The point being even if they suck they will always be good in some body eyes.And yet we still bitch about them.Sure I'm expecting it to suck my hope for this is really low.But still it's going to be a major lift for the series.So lets just try to see past negatives that are more then likely going to come and try to stay positive.
 
The creators of the AVP films were nobodies. They were infamous to begin with. These guys have god reps....

The "god" started as a typo, but I think I'll keep it...
 
I liked all the films with Predators in them, they all added something to my overall view of the perfect hunter species, so I'll be pretty much happy with anything ^_^

This does give me a little hope that he'll do it right. IF he's serious that is.
 
I personally am a huge Robert Rodriguez fan and I am confident he will come through with a decent flick - I was pretty excited to see this become a reality.
As far as the original treatment goes I thought the Spanish Gallion Idea was pretty cool but I know alot of people would like to see the Preds do more off or home world type humting but never the less I believe this will rock! GO ROBERT!!!!
 
I'm stoked!! I hope this predators movie is good.I'm still looking for a way to go to TMS and visit the set.I'm so close and yet so far :p
 
Thanks for the links, Scott. Rodriguez said K & B is doing the effects. Don't know much about that outfit, or what they've done. Seems a shame ADI isn't doing it----if the guys over at Stan's old place couldn't do it, I'd prefer to have the people who worked on the predator since the beginning (Gillis and Woodruff) doing it.

Wont take place on earth whats the point then? The predators come here to hunt this movie is going to be crap. Ive heard so many stories that the predator wont even look anything like the predator weve come to know and love. Theres alot of talk that he will look close to the original ardvark looking creature. either way everything I have heard is he wount be the creature were used to with the mandibles and dreadlocks. Im saving my money on this one and sticking with what I said in a earlier post. It would be a better film if I just walked around in my back yard in my suit.
 
No mandibles or dreads, then he's not a pred! Praying this movie sticks to the pred design we all love and that this movie salvages its name
 
Folks, I just took a giant **** and I'm proud to announce...the movie is DONE!

I scooped it all into a big plastic tub and I'm shipping it off to Hollywood for the finishing touches. The movie should be out real soon.

Hope every one enjoys it as much as I enjoyed...excreting it, making it, uhh...it's all the same these days anyway, right?
 
Cleaning up **** with more **** doesn't sound like washing anything away, if anything it's adding to it. It's not even Predator anymore at this point, it's 'What if Predator was totally different? Let's make that and try to cash in on the existing fan base because we can't actually think of anything decent.' This is a bad idea from the get go.

Forget all the bad sequels because of this new 'PREDATORS' crap??

That's like saying someone is going to forget about being raped because they'll be murdered. No thanks.

im glad they are doing something with the predator by its self again the first movie was made before i was born and the second was made the same year so its been a long time.i heard rumors about this and i got excited so im very pleased to see that it is confirmed maybe they will show the predators home and architecture i think that would be amazing :p
