I would also like to see Ian Whyte stay as the Predator. He knows the Predator and can develop the part and character from inside.

Found this on AICN, talks alittle bit about the film and who might do the practical FX, doesn't sound like it will be ADI or SWS,....but it is a bit early yet.

That statement can go either way. Also, I think it's way too early to be talking with that much confidence in something that's not even been shot yet. But, hey, he stakes his life on it so it has to be good, right!?

They all talk big when they are about to make a Pred film, but I'm still waiting to see what they do with the appearance of the Preds themselves, the homeworld, casting, etc. I'm not getting my hopes up again until I see something concrete. Until then, I'll just hope for the best.

just been watching the Ultimate Combat version of AVP:R. granted it's no masterpiece, but it's not all that bad. i'm totally ambivalent about Pred homeworld stuff tho. on the one paw i'd love to see more, but on the other, it's faaaaar too easy to do it badly. think i'd prefer the sense of mystery to remain.

What made The Joker so creepy? His past is a mystery... so much so that he gives you two conflicting stories.
Enough said/seen about predators. Just have them hunt.
In my eyes, the only way to really do it right is to show what happened to Harper's team. Basically a chance for some director to re-do P1.
Keep it short - 90 min. At this point, there's no reason in creating a 2 and a half hour masterpiece. You'd kill the series.

I would like to see a pred be a quick agile killing machine. Thats why I would like to see a badblood in a movie. Have we ever seen a predator acutaly run? And no not that dumbass baywatch **** in AVP like run fast and kill and disapear. But they probably can't do that due to latex and the movements might be hindered. Wish he would make a Predator Badblood movie lol that would be awesome. But they only have 1 tall person lol. But Ian Whyte did a good job in AVP R. But no wrestlers. lol

Back on topic - yes its been confirmed that Predators will be on a Pred homeworld planet, but I have a feeling that since the title can be taken more than one way, I would surmise this possibility:
-Humans crash land a spacecraft on some uncharted planet in the Beta sector. They find the atmosphere breathable and noticed possible traces of a civilization during the crashlanding. They take supplies and weapons and go exploring
-the Predators are already stalking the humans and watching their every move. They follow first deciding who will lead the hunt. One Pred wants to lead but is too rogue and unorthodox in his behaviour to be trusted, so he is forced to stay behind as per the Elders committee.
-the rogue Pred becomes the Bad Blood and decides to hunt the team of Predators that are stalking the humans. Thus begins the hunt and bloodbath!!!
MEH...I don't know how the Pred planet will go...thats gonna be tough since the movies have indicated that Preds hunt in the hottest season. So why hunt on their own planet? There won't be any Alien eggs because there isn't supposed to be any trace of AVP in this movie, so they can't be hunting Aliens. You gotta have humans, so either they crash land, or they get captured and brought back for a Gladiator type fight in a coliseum type area. Or they could get let loose in the Pred forest and told they get to live and go back home if they survive being hunted. But I sure hope they don't introduce a talking Pred...I'm all for the Pred doing the Parrot repeating thing in that gutteral inhuman voice, but I don't want them speaking some alien language with subtitles.
This movie has potential, but we've seen the Predator get **** on in AVP and AVPR so we have reason to be VERY pessimistic about this movie. The other thing that doesn't bode well: watching Fox **** on their fans with ****** Bio masks that have mediocre lenses, piss poor paint apps - all in the name of reducing production costs and maximizing profit. We've seen how Fox is all about making a quick buck and not at all interested in quality or satisfaction.
I have my hopes up and at the same I am very much uneasy with how this movie could end up. Gotta wait and see just like all the other times I guess...

i'd agree that there is way too much negativity here. whatever happened to giving the benefit of the doubt? so you think the 2 AvPs were cack ~ well, i don't think any of the teams involved in them (except mabe the sfx, and even that's not sure) are involved in Predators. "the only way to do it right" is to show what happened to the first team? in your opinion maybe. i don't want what would be (in your words) ANOTHER remake by redoing P1 : what's the point? we know what happened ~ Pred killed them all. oops, spoiler.

i hope there do'nt base the film on the preds home planet or going in depth of how the predator evolved to what he/she is today,thats what we liked about the pred in the first place,we did'nt know what it was? and what it looked like?,where it came from?,why there here?,thats what keeps us watching and admiring them,its the mysterie of them,i think if we knew everything about them it would spoil them,we admire the ?????that surrounds them....and thats what keeps us liking them....
