Predator2 mask Journey FINISHED.

stop slacking and sculpt then.

i dunno you throw down a challenge then dont do anything

Im going to start shaping the dred holes tomorrow , all things being equal, which will maybe narrow the head slightly.

accessing the lair at present on my mobile phone in work

Oh no need to worry these days lee. I swore off the xbox a couple weeks ago. All my free time r spent sculpting these days. I'll be posting an update in a week or so before I start detailing. The shaping will be complete and I'll be needing some feedback. U better give me some feedback lee!!! Cuz I value ur opinion? Anyway, ur meathead's lookin good. Sculpt more now! Or when u get home... Whichever comes first

I meant to do some work on this today but i came across a hiccup.

the picture i had been working off, was the only sculpt picture i could find , ( the one in " The Winston Effect " ) but upon looking at other pictures, it suddenly dawned on me that the sculpt changed a fair bit from that single picture.

Which meant ive spent the day redoing the dred lugs POSITIONS grrrrrr, so no PROPER work has taken place.

I take it im right in thinking there ARE NOT any more sculpt pictures of the P2 head?

If not, it doesnt matter, you know what they say.

If at first you dont succeed. . . . . . .

MAKE IT UP !

heheh i know it was a pain for me to find referance pictures for the P2 head! everyone ive seen seems to be slighty different. But im sure that you will nail it.

At the moment my head is starting too look like a P2 head and this was unintentionly as its going to be a female head!!! arrrggghhh

( I have to show you lot some pictures tonight as im in work at the moment so any feedback will be great )

Yeah get some pics up , thats what we are all here for to bounce ideas and help each other

I think im going to do some details on the neck tomorrow. ( then maybe start again on these bleeding dred holes. )

the thinking is that the neck will not change now so its a quick fix to make me think im getting somewhere hehe.

i hadnt noticed the dreadholes on the sculpt being different from the final mask, i were just getting to that part. i did notice however that the brow is different. if u look closely at the sculpt in the winston book u can see that the brow stans finger is pointing at is sculpted different than the one that the camera is centered on. i think the one stans pointing at was more along the lines of the final version, too bad we cant see the other side. ive looked for other sculpt pics too but had no luck. thats what screen caps r for i guess

Im not too hopeful of anymore sculpt pics, so i suppose all joking apart, ill end up guessing some of the dred placement.

if i were you i would use the pic of the P2 mask in the top left corner of that page with the sculpt to figure out dread placement. honestly i like the way the sculpt looks as opposed to the final P2.the sculpt looks more stylized whereas the final version just has a massive elongated dome. good luck with whichever route u take lee . i still havent decided on mine. im leanin towards the sculpt pic though.

Yo Lee
Thats one ugly Muther trucker your've got there!
It looks better since the redo, i might have a pic of a P2 model without the dreads that may haelp you guys with the dread placement.
"I'll be back!"

Yeah i have all those pics thanks Chris.

Im not concerned too much about he rear dred placement, although at present i fear my head is leaning towards the stunt mask, which im not happy about

but then again im rarely happy with my sculpts hehe. Maybe have a small update in a few hrs when ive woke up, i should have a couple of hrs free before the last of my night shifts.

Fingers are killing me now grrr, and ive broke tWo wooden tools

anyway , happish with dred hole positions, and ive done the 1st run of detail on his neck ( i know his neck wil not be seen but i like it so )

now ive amended the dred holes, its narrowed it slightly to 12.75 inches wide.

onto the head ridges i guess in a couple of days when i get more time.

i'm really liking the detail coming in atm bro. Although still too early to tell completely, i think your going to nail this one.

Looks kinda funny without mandibles, lol.

KEITH

Lee I know you're still blocking out the forms... But if you look at your pics the left mandible is a little less meaty than the right hence it's sitting back a tad further than is ideal...I know you're not aiming for symetry but a good organinc base....But little niggles like this are quite a draw to the eye mate...Just build that up a tad and you'll be balancing the facial stucture more. Looking good though and should be a corker when you get closer to the fianl stages of refining.

No prob mate, I'm here to help the best way I can without physically flinging the clay about. If I spot anything else I'll shout
