hi all
just to let you all know i got a heads up from sales rep my neca contact in holland
and here how it goes for the new predators figures
14 figures per case and these are the first lot to be realeased from the new movie
and they are 7 inch, nothing was mentioned about 12 inch dammmmm
anyway there are 3 different types of preds is the first series and here is the break up per case
classic predator
black predator
falconer predator
e.t.a what i was given for these is the 30-6-2010

The film will introduce new kinds of never before seen predators. The concept was to develop the “ipod of predators”. Rodriguez explains these streamlined predators as being part of a different tribe from the ones we’ve seen before. It’s like the difference between “wolves and dogs”. New predators include Falconer predators, a massive Flusher predator they call “Mr. Black” (referred to in some internet rumors as a “Super Predator” which is just a meaningless script description), and you’ll see predator dogs along with airborne predator creatures.

yea 7 inches with these 3 figures that have been confirmed yes, but im sure the pics that we have all seen of neca's P1 and elder are still yet to come and P2
and im sure they are the 12 inch.
so i think neca is going to spoil us on predators and rob all our money haha ,7 inch and 12 inch figures happy days

NECA has NOT confirmed that the P1/Elder/P2 will be in any other size other than the 7 inch version.
Kyle Wydrix (lead sculptor at NECA) has stated that they're not sure it they'll do them in any other size besides the smaller version.
The larger versions may be too expensive for them to produce.

possible sabres but as you said yourself nothing is confirmed yet just the first series and the 3 types of preds mentioned above.

All it's going to come down to is the head honcho at NECA being convinced they will be profitable enough to sell a 12 inch.
I'd say the chances are good, with the T2 12inchers. But Kyle went all out on the Predator, there are a lot of pieces that could push it over the cost of the usual to produce.
That release list has me a bit confused. from what my contact has told me, The Original Predator figure will be coming out after the Predators figures at the end quarter of the year.
There are hopes to get the Predators figures out just before the movie while the hype is at it's zenith.

Eh, I'm not 'blamming' the creative people over at NECA, but there's nothing wrong with voicing my take on how product is distributed. There is no need to buy extra bodies just to have an extra unmasked open/closed mouth and a masked head, any way you look at it, it's a waste of money and plastic. Just because every one else does it doesn't mean I disagree with NECA only and say it's OK for other companies. Overall it's a wasteful process and approach, that's just me though.
In the end, not such a huge deal to me, I'll see what they look like and if I'm impressed with the production models I may end up getting one of each or none at all, I'll speak with my wallet, although in these times I doubt it's anything that will be heard by big business.

What I am confused about it, I know there are three predators being made into a figure for Predators. One is called Classic, and I know the original P1 design is in the movie.
Is this classic predator the new P1 sculpt Kyle did? By what I have been told, I think it's a different figure than what we have all seen at Toyfair. And that Toyfair P1 predator is coming out after the Predators line, it's a but confusing, I am going to try to find out.

I would assume that yes, the classic is the original in the Predators line, but what has me confused is the weirdness of this figure coming out first as some version being "re-used" for a line, then later coming out as it's own rightful place. I just find that sort of weird.
Perhaps I worded it wrong when I said I was confused. I'm just saying it's a little bit weird. I hope there are some significant differences in the two versions, but who is to say how exactly they will be, from what my contact told me they may have given him the bird like feet of the new design in the movie. I hope they left him exactly the same, but won't be suprised at a few changes.
